I've been getting this bug as well. I've "rage quit" a few Red Alerts over it, and stayed away from STFs because of it. I always liked to throw out heals before season 9. A Borg lockbox with weaponry, consoles , and duty officers that aren't available to players currently might be feasible, but I'm just not seeing playable Borg ships. They wouldn't match the current client side movement mechanics at all. Could you imagine having to spiral up or down in a Borg Cube or Sphere?? :eek: SMH!…
I noticed that sometimes torpedos, as well as other things, would "vanish" when I have anti-aliasing turned on. Everything reappears when I turn anti-aliasing off again. Maybe that's a possibility?
Your resolution is probably set at .6, as mine was when I first logged in. Go into "Display" and turn your res up to 1.00. You will see a world of difference! :cool:
Now that you mention it, I did find it peculiar that my 67k hull Galaxy X kept popping like a month old zit. Also, counters against the grav wells and snot balls that worked fine in the space zone seemed completely ineffective in VC. Something feels amiss... :confused:

I ran a Fed Alien tac with Maco gear and a falchion sword, and a KDF Orion engi with fleet elite gear and the nanopulse bat'leh. Both battles went pretty much the same, both dropped once, but both able to finish fairly handily.
On both my Tac and my Engi, I found melee weapons to be more effective than ranged ones. Got dropped by Egg once on both, but still got through him fine. It seems similar tactics for fighting the Borg are equally effective on Undine.
I've had something like this from time to time as well. When I use the scroller to zoom in and out in space, sometimes it also toggles my speed up and down...usually when I'm in battle.
