I'm in Texas with Time Warner also, with the usual unplayable lag/server disconnects. ATT U-verse is offering a pretty sweet deal to switch over to them, and I'm going to call them today. Couldn't possibly be worse, that's for sure.
The long skirts many female Klingons wore. An expanded color palette, with colors that actually look like colors, unlike the greens, yellows, etc. we have to work with now, which look like mud. More hair options for Klingons - looking through the moveis and TV shows, their hair rarely looks like dreadlocks.
If they're not going to fix cloaks and make them useful, then they need to upgrade BoP weapons, hull, and shields to the equivalent non-cloaking ships. Fair is fair.
This issue is getting progressively worse every day. Right after the update, I could at least move around and pick up doff missions. Today, it took half an hour to just start moving. Can only hope that this issue is being worked on, because patience is wearing thin. It shouldn't take five days to fix a game-breaking issue…
The idea that ISPs all started to have problems at the exact moment STO had an update that addressed "General server stability", is a little far fetched.
Same issue here. I had a perfect connection, until the September 6, 2012 update with it's "General server stability updates", now I'm getting unplayable lag when I'm not getting the "Server not responding" message instead. Perhaps connected to this "Raptr" thing?
Still an issue after the last patch. I found that a lot of the glare and FPS hit goes away, if you go to your options->video->postprocessing, and turning that off. Bloom settings don't seem to make a difference, so I left mine alone.
I have the same issue, seems like any area described as a "nebula" has these blinding white areas that not only hurt my eyes, but causes my FPS to nosedive into slide show mode. So far I've noticed them in the Azure, ChoS, T'kanis nebulas, as well as Borg encounters. It needs to be fixed ASAP.
