A really long time ago they told us they had orginally hoped to get permission to have these in game, which is why they made them. However they never got the permission so they never went live. If they show up on an NPC its just a bug.
Why isnt the Excalibur/Vesper/Exeter in the fleet store? We all know you can lock out ship skins so CBS not allowing a T5 connie has nothing to do with it.
What you are forgetting is that Picard remembered everything that happened in AGT, and sent a detailed report to Starfleet. That means Starfleet could have decided to create the Galaxy-X in the prime universe based on his report.
Oh, and guess what? When they released the NX they made up a completely lame story about how engineers at starfleet wanted to build a new ship with an old design. That means according to the game's actual story from Cryptic, just because something might look old doesnt mean it actually is.
Once again, holo-emmiters. The game's story say they exist. If you are all worked up about the lack of a flicker, all you have to do is pretend its a new and improved version.
I dont actually want to fly one, I'm just pointing out that your argument is flimsy. If you are concerned about immersion and roleplay then you should be able to roleplay an explanation for why you see a connie. As previous said, it could just be a new and improved holo-emmiter. If you cant do that then you arent really a…
If you cant roleplay that its a new and improved holo-emmiter that doesnt flicker then you arent much of a roleplayer in the first place, meaning you shouldnt be that concerned about yoru immersion being broken.
Actually, in an interview about the movie one of the writers said the reason the ship looked different in the 09 movie is because its design was influenced by scans of the Narada that the surviving crew of the Kelvin were able to bring back to Starfleet. This means that the JJ-prise was more advanced than the TOS connie…
I'm sorry to have to break this to you OP, but Cryptic wants your money. Not just a little bit, but a lot of it. That being the case, they are going to try to charge you ridiculous prices for anything they think you might buy. Welcome to a perfect world.
So would I, but that doesnt excuse sloppy testing. This kind of thing should be resolved BEFORE a season goes live, and making excuses for it now is only going to encourage them to keep making the same mistakes in the future. If people act like everything is fine then they will have no motivation not to let this happen…
There is no "good lockbox". The reason is because it is still a random purchase. That is why the doff pack they did a couple times ago was such a good thing: you actually knew what you were getting, and you had a chance to get special bonuses.
I just said "the other day". This trailer came out today. So I obviously know that. However if he didnt like trailers that showed things that werent really possible in game, then the same thing applies to this one.
No one said anything about making it last forever, just putting it on the days the most people would get to play it. Add me to the "glad your not a dev" list.
Let me get this straight: you are tired of people complaining, so you decide to argue against an idea to let more people to get to play an event? Gee thanks  And in response to the post above, Christmas is technically only Dec 25h in the US, where this game is based out of: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas
Why didnt you add the tier 5 exalibur thread to your list of feedback Branflakes? And why didnt you move it to the tribble feedback board since it is feedback about the fleet store?
See this is what I dont understand. Sure I'd like a have a tier 5 constitution, but if CBS wont allow it then tough stuff. But that has nothing to do with the excalibur so it should be in the fleet store too.
