I am able to log in by going into the star trek folder in program files and hit the exe. Any other way wont work, I cant even pin the exe to desktop i have to go into it the long way as mentioned. The arc log in is toast, nothing fixed it, no repair, no reinstall, nothing. At this rate it seems spotty at best how long this…

Thanks for all the replies. When I get home I will try the one people say is working by going into /c program files, startrek and clicking on the startrek icon to start the game. I do hope eventually this arc update issue does get fixed.

This game company has to make money some how, what they have set up seems pretty reasonable. A person can get sucked into putting a lot of dough$ into a single ship, that can be troublesome if said ship becomes obsolete in the future. Still a lot of consoles are universal and can be used on any ship.

In this game im I able to take my ship to a planet and just beam down and explore it with out any quest tied to it?

I understand no ones forcing me to do anything but if I want to stay some what competitive those temporal skills seem pretty invaluable. I dont want to be like the only guy in a group or pvp with out such a thing. Im willing to go another round and start again but it would just destroy me if something like this happened…

Im just worried that sto may do another event like this delta event and essentially make is lvl up a new char to receive the new skills and stuff. It makes it hard to get attached to any characters. I am only 2 months into the game and a little over lvl 40 and I definitely dont want to replay these missions I just did. So I either move on to another free game or continue on with my main with out all the delta rewards.

Thanks for the quick answer, just hit lvl 30 last night and that happened. Now to figure out how to fill that last officer slot on my new D'deridex, i think im one short of an engineer none of my other officers will fit. That should'nt be to hard if not I might be back:D
