I won't complain too loudly about them sparing me the temptation to spend hours every day grinding this, but if they want their Endeavor System to look popular and successful, it seems a natural choice to allow full rewards to be collected by every alt on every account.
There should be no attack buffs that cannot be resisted, and no immunities that are anywhere close to functionally infinite. I have no sympathy for anyone who relies on some broken cheese crutch that enables either side of that.
Real PvP is long dead in this game, as evidenced by the fact that those strictly-PvP queues never pop. I would also say real PvPers who want a real, balanced challenge have also mostly bailed, to be replaced by pretend "PvPers" who's mighty victories amount to flying around cloaked in Ker'rat, waiting for a farmer to be…
I try for a distinctive ship and build on each of my toons, but I have 16 of them at the moment. End result is a handful with truly distinctive builds, and a majority flying my go-to 1000 day Vet ships.
An end to the practice of "here's some ridiculously OP pay-to-win whale cheese" followed later by patch notes "reduced effect XYZ on that P2W cheese that we're pretending wasn't an intentional I-win button," then "here's some NEW, ridiculously OP pay-to-win whale cheese if you've got the $$$".
That sort of animation must be exceedingly complex to maintain in a functional state, because one of them is always broken. Warp in, warp out, respawn or "rock and roll," one of them is always hosed.
They should be visible on the sector map, and repeatable as many times as the player wishes. I'll accept no excuses or rationalizations for why they have been arbitrarily restricted.
You need to get off this "I am the thread police and I decide what trolling is" kick. Nobody gets absolute dictatorial power over how everyone responds to their thread. If you find no value in someone's contribution, just ignore them.
Considering what a resource hog "screen accurate" is likely to be, if my $14.99 a month isn't enough, then I don't need them. *edit* Now, fully customizable interiors, where I choose the size, configuration and placement of all rooms, all consoles and furniture, there's a starting point for negotiating some extra $$$.
More variety is good, but I'm not going to take much interest if they're all walled in behind gambleboxes. While that remains the case, I'll just content myself with the Competitive Flak Shot cannon. *shrug*
I do hope they introduce that ship, make it free and easily obtainable. I'll fly it on at least one toon just to annoy the self-important pedants who think they get to define "real" Star Trek for everyone else.
Because that is the only conceivable outcome. I have no business expecting that someone logging onto a game actually wants to play it, or that they will have the basic civility to pull their weight when it affects other people.
Only if it also auto-accepts the first queue that pops. None of this short attention span, "let's jerk everyone else around because I can't maintain focus or make up my friggin mind." You queue for something, you warp/beam in when it pops, period. If you're not ready for that, you're not ready to queue.
Yeah, man! I should be able to name my ship "U.S.S. More Powerful Than Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and The Incredible Hulk Put Together" if I want! RABBLE! RABBLERABBLERABBLERABBLERABBLE!! ;)
I'm loving the audio from TWOK. *thumbs up* Glad they didn't restrict the enemies to Klingon ships. The Borg Cubes and Doomsday Machine made me laugh. One HUGE difference from NWS: The Kobayashi Maru moves. If you're going to drop the shield recharge sphere from the 8472 rep, for example, try to catch the little bugger…
