Just tried it and it worked. When I paid the 18,000 to transwarp to the dilithium mining asteroid, the game took my money and left me in the box.

Part of the high dil costs for things, especially base and embassy projects, is to encourage players to buy dil with zen. Simply choose to go without and you will be fine; dil stacks up just from playing, and I don't waste time on combat anymore - I get mine from doing the exploration, diplomatic, and DOff missions.

My captain and one BOff are in a solid blue screen. We cannot beam up to the ship because we are suppose to be on it and, when I paid the 18,000ec to transwarp to the dilithium asteroid, it charged me, then refused to let me out.
