I took the Neggie as I wanted to go full out engineer tank and wanted a little more survivability. I really enjoyed it. I did eventually get a Bortasu War cruiser but it seems to perform similarly.

This is simply untrue. Anything less than 100% optimal <> Obsolete. This game (and MMOs in general) are not designed to be played with only optimal equipment. My first toon was a Fed tactical. Got him to 24 and started working on a KDF alt. Now I have 3 KDF, 2 at 50 and one at 40.

No guide needed. It is a problem on the PW site. The server choice is missing "holodeck" and the form requires it to be populated.

I have also had this problem and I already filed a ticket with the Perfect world site. You should do the same. You should also relax a bit. It is still 7am PST. Give them a chance to get to work and see that there is a problem. I do wonder if it is in some way related to the cryptic STO site being down.
