I love the self-irony of the Rallus. Now that we are back to deliberately mediocre ships and less-than-mediocre assets, the new Romulan vessel is not named after a bird of prey, but a water rail.
They could just do away with racial traits and let everyone select 11 like aliens. Race change is the second best option, cause the races that can't be recreated as aliens (e.g. Gorn) would still be weaker for no reason.
The USS Ahwahnee has the same registry number as the USS Da Vinci: NCC-91620 The USS Princeton has the same registry number as the USS Seneca: NCC- 95800 Vendorians?
Do you think the Proton Omni will be like the KCB and not count against the omni equip limit? I sure hope so. I'm also happy I kept several Dyson tac consoles with relevant bonuses, like phaser and disruptor. You can never know, they might become useful one day! B)
Maybe the real trait is something completely different. The ship is also not a Dreadnought Carrier, but, if the blog can be believed at all, a regular Dreadnought with only 7 weapon slots, no cruiser commands, but 200(?) inertia.
The KDF has two excellent legendary battlecruisers already, the D7 and the Vor'cha. The bortaSqu' could have been such a cool Juggernaut. That said, I need to get it right away!
But why? It's a Sutherland with a battle cloak that forces you into a TorpSci build. The only thing it's lacking is a full temporal spec, but it and its sister ships have the best boff layout for anomaly/SIA spamming in the game. It may not be the absolute top notch science ship and build anymore, but I don't get why it…
I love getting updated versions of some of the original STO endgame ships, and the models look very good. The boff seatings, however, look weird to me. Each one is somewhat off, and still offers nothing new or special. I was hoping for something more unusual, like 2 commanders maybe, to mark these ships' important position…
No fun allowed - the patch notes. I don't care much about the kitty form, but it's not like removing it from QWW is going to stop people from complaining about the race, or give newbies and on/off players a chance, for lack of endeavor perks alone. The Breen Omni in its current form, however, would have been an interesting…
Damage of any type is not exotic if delivered by ship weapons (e.g. Breen Omni, Breen Torpedo). Some consoles count as extra weapons. Damage of any type is exotic if delivered by anything other than ship weapons (e.g. Cryonic Blackout). However, while not exotic damage, the damage type of the new Breen set weapons is a bit…
Cool little ship. With Temporal and Intel seating you can slot a lot of stuff to trigger Unconventional Systems, and probably turn the ship into an exotic console spammer, or just make a pile of anomalies (and foes) and Scatter Volley into it!
Wow, I never knew these existed. I guess I never scrolled down all the way in the console list, but just got the CtrlX/EPG one. After almost 13 years I'm still discovering new stuff. :*
I don't know what ships etc. you have, but I sometimes use the Refracting Energy Shunt from the Gagarin, together with the Miracle Worker ability Overwhelm Power Regulators. With a decent DrainX score, you can suck mobs dry with those 2 alone. Under the line, drains are a nice toy to play around with, but not insanely…
With such a low crit chance I think you will get the most out of [Dmg], and maybe [Acc] if you don't have any Accuracy from other sources, and actually see your shots missing the enemy. Eventually, you will be able to easily get enough Accuracy from souces other than weapon mods, though. [Dmg] will remain good forever.…
I'm writing this ahead of looking at your articles ;) Best Ground Weapon: "Lower Decks Phaser Cannon" a.k.a. Portable Phaser Cannon Special Issue Best Race: Alien (Romulan faction gets easy SRO, but others can buy that as well now, and can stack much more doffing buffs) Best Career: Tactical Best Ship Weapons: this is…
What we probably need is more hangars with 20s base recharge (= really 0 seconds). I don't think the traits are all bad with those. What's the third one anyway? The new one, Relaunch and Repair, and what else? On a different note, do both ships really have the same hull modifier? That would be a lot for the Norway.
Is there anything going to be done about firing modes not activating correctly, i.e. going on cooldown without actually giving their benefit? I'm just wondering if this is considered a "known issue".
We really need to get rid of set species traits. Please, devs, make them optional choices. The benefit of rolling an alien was small at launch, when the selection of traits was very limited. Now there is no real reason beyond cosmetics to roll anything else, even more so with the possibility of small advantages other races…
The Mirror Somerville looks cool enough for a free ship. The console will be a nice addition to Star-Jellies. I hope it's a 10km radius PBAoE for that purpose. >:)
