This is one part wishful thinking (I'm terrible at combat) and one part lore. Science vessels like the USS Grissom are meant to be unarmed, as their purpose is collecting scientific data not fighting. I understand that there's a war on, but still. The game could be changed so said science vessels are never without an…
Mid/long-term: It would be nice if Spock's narration came with subtitles. For whatever reason I cannot seem to turn my computer's volume up to a more audible level.
This is off topic, but thank you. There is, indeed, such a thing as a Christian sci-fi fan and even (just ask C.S. Lewis) a work of Christian science fiction. Maybe I'm a hopeless romantic but I choose to believe that not everyone in the far future will become an atheist.
I don't know which range this falls into, but how about a bridge view? Space missions can seem overwhelming with all of space around you, and nothing to frame your view except the user interface. edit. Mid-term: An online game manual (including a list of common MMO terms) please. Everything would be easier if there were a…
Hang on. I know this is a game and all, but didn't Captain Picard once say, "Money doesn't exist in the twenty-fourth century. We work to better ourselves"? I know this probably doesn't apply to the Klingon and Romulan empires, but still. What happened in the 25th century to change that statement?
Or, you could do as I do. Never play to win; play to enjoy yourself and to explore strange new worlds, etc. I'm not an online-games veteran but I find this approach to be less stress-inducing, more fun, and less expensive. (I mean, come on, there are video games which can be played for free.)
All right, you may demote me if this is in the wrong thread. It probably is. My question is, is the space combat more focused around strategy and tactics or is it more of a Star Wars/WWII experience?
