My practical tests are all gut based. If I die on the crystalline entity it is usually with full shields. Or, on STFs I no longer need any shield heals, just sometimes TT and maybe once or two times I need RSP.

I think you're probably used to all of the gear and powers (like rep powers) that your Fed/KDF characters have. So it will take some time for you to acquire borg set or MACO set items, and rep powers (T4 Omega is great for passive shield regen). What ships do your Fed/KDF characters use? They're probably not accounting for the lack of Reputation powers and Borg set items, etc. I have never used the Valdore console in PvP and I have found I am all but unkillable on elite STFs. I don't have Borg or MACO set items yet, only T3 Omega and Rom rep.

Just for the non-mathy types of players. Let's forget about "over-healing", "proc rates" & "PvP". Let's also ignore "combatlogs" and "scoreboards". While I agree the current system encourages skipping sets, when I start running a character through ground for the first time I generally buy the MK X set right off the bat and ignore the MK XI unless I get rare tech. The Bug? Seriously?? :eek: I own the bug, and I can tell you quite clearly that it is the best Escort in the game. 10% higher hull and a ludicrous base Turn rate plus the ability to run the Fleet Escort BOFF layout. I don't think anyone is going to shed tears for the Bug.

Here's a gripe, not sure if its been covered yet. There is no drop down list (for me) to jump to different sub-forums. To not have this feature is simply ridiculous.
