Why not make it a passive system? Similar to the endeavors system. If you're in a team that completes the objective you get the bonus reward, if your team doesn't then you get the standard reward. You could make the rewards for each objective boost your ability to complete the others. Or add it directly to the endeavors…

The nacelles aren't for normal space propulsion. Those are where the equipment to generate and controll a warp field are housed. @westmetals is right. But I disagree with just making them flight deck versions of the other ship types. I'd just give them more hangar slots. Like 4 total. Then they would be better carriers, and not just flight deck vessels. Science vessels are kinda weird in that they aren't technically a type. A Nova is more the size…
