I am unable to get as far as the OP. The game has been crashing consistently once I find the saboteur after disarming the bombs in Engineering on Sela's ship. The game reverifies files when I launch it, and then when I load back in it crashes again.

Department heads do not reset on every log in. They reset on every map change, even within the same login.
