• So I followed some of the advice; e.g. waiting.. And after a moment, through my noobishness, activated a weapons battery by mistake and then scanned successfully and was able to end the mission. I have no idea if spending a weapons battery affects your ability to scan.. but something worked, the waiting, the batter, or both
