Reading that, I get the basic feeling that just about everyone is likely to be rather unsatisfied with some of the currently apparent plot problems and writer's gambits that really don't make sense.
Well the other character I have is a low level tactical. If I buy the Odyssey now will that character get the pack to when they hit VA? Oh, and BTW, I have enough dilithium saved up to make the whole pack cost about as much as one of the ships would. Or I could I suppose just buy one of the ships....

Really? I didn't expect that. I figured you could use them both at once. Does make me wonder about the workbees now. If only one of them can be active at a time then it sounds far less useful to have all 3 equipped. Though the passive set bonus looked nice.
I tend to see-saw back and forth between the Advanced Escory and the Sovy. Most of the reason for that is I don't have to much of a difference between them.
