Having to repeat the same content for what feels like a century is already mundane enough. But to be forced into normal queues for it makes it so much worse. Plain and simply put, being forced to do trivial content is not fun.
I am just gonna laugh. "Please put enemies closer so I can DPS better" is hardly a "critical issue" the OP seems to think it is. Such an awful thig to update things in a game that hurts your ability to speed run content. My heart goes out to you for your immense loss.
Any T6 can do. I main the Legendary T6 at the moment. Suits my play style and I am definitely no slouch on the team. Problem is the rest have zero flexibility. The Legendary is about as flexible as warm glass which is still more than the others. So you either make the build the ship demands, or you play sub-par. But if you…
This is downright embarrassing for Cryptic. I actually got excited about the "Remaster" cuz the first one was absolute garbage. Then I noticed "new and improved" stuff that had been in for years and got confused. If they brought the textures in these TFOs into at least 2015, I'd be through the moon. Oh well.
STO has had rubberbanding since forever. I think they started with rubberbanding and then built the game around it. Pretty sure how that went. However, the past week or so I have been having such severe sever not responding issues and rubberbanding that I simply am unable to reliably play the game. 10 seconds of everything…
Honestly, the big visual changes I want are a huge reduction in effect spam (many BOff abilities dont need effects) and I would LOVE beam consolidation... I was always a big fan of the Galaxy firing 1 or 2 ultra powerful beams rather than 9364389576923 beams of meh strength. Would be purely a graphical thing as the game…
Chiming in here because I love the Galaxy class. I use it on my main as my tank, my excelsior is my more offensive ship. At work so I dont have too much to contribute in fine details, but my current build is very tetryon focused, 6 beam arrays, 1 kinetic cuttingbeam in the back, 1 torp in the front. I use most of this set:…
I find it all depends on how one likes to play that will ultimately determine their build... But generally, I enjoy a rather tankier ship usually (yay cruisers) but been dabbling in science and escorts. I like to have plenty of healing,1 fast, 1 heal over time, both shield and hull. Emergency power to weapons x 2 so I can…
Swapping the critical hit system for the player death penalty system is a major re-balance of the game mechanics, especially with the rate at which critical hits happen. I see what the OP is thinking and give him credit for trying to mix it up. But I am not too keen on completely upending the system without massive…
I play STO in spurts since launch. Seen various different ideas on gameplay. The longest lasting is the DPS chase. I did it too, even on my cruisers. Started playing again recently and decided to throw that out the window. Am having a BLAST taking on different roles rather than simply DPS. Tanking and threat control,…
I kinda like it. I am usually generally built so as to handle anything well so I have no problem there. I find I am getting WAY more done and faster than before. Having tons of fun in the process. I also tend to find plenty of time before the TFO starts to adjust however I need.
I like scaling ships, but I honestly would rather have tiers just outright removed and all ships re-balanced to reflect such changes... but my desire would be too huge of an overhaul for sure and I accept that. Dreams tho right? Game is older though, so I don't see the real need to keep everything 'challenging' as before…
I'd not mind in game, easy to set up and manage 'orders' to automate BOff behavior at stations. Example, I can run Emergency Power to Weapons non-stop... it would be nice to have my BOffs do that for me rather than me having to write a script out of game, then load it up into keybinds etc. Tell my engineers to apply…
Sounds like they have a pretty robust resource share with CBS, so they likely have access to Picard and Kirk if they so chose. CBS won't be paying the bill Shatner and Stewart would command and the return on investment wouldn't be terrific. Pulling audio lines from episodes for such characters would also be seen as such a…
I didn't get the luxury of seeing them before the change, but something I noticed is that it looks like the time to target is the same regardless of distance, so closer, they go slower and seem squished, and further they go faster and are more stretched. Seems weird to me. I half like them, half hate them. Sounds like the…
I would. I think it'd be terrific if the tailor included crew animations which would allow to select between various medical tricorders, science tricorders, beam up effects, warp effects, shield impact effects, etc. as a 'style costume' area. First reaction to the question was no I wouldn't, then I was thinking of the…
Easiest thing I could think of would be to allow for changing the character's starting field. Basically it seems the warp in, beam in, etc. effects are linked to Fed, Klingon, Romulan, AoY, DSC, etc. rather than per character. So it is difficult to re-engineer that to make those effects linked per character instead. But it…
