I have the same problem - how do you turn off the visuals? Edit - never mind... found it.

I have the same problem. Any phantom, sector space with the borg assimilated console. (and not just for the foundry)

It is all about shields it seems. I have a romulan tac command battle cruiser and I have Delta Alliance Unimatrix shields at Mk XIII. If the shields are equipped, no customization. Remove the shields to inventory, colors show up and you can customize. But the same problem exists in space as well.

I read that if multiple weapons fire at the same time, then you get -10 (or so) to the Weapon power setting. My question - I am using a Nostromo N50, which has a macro capability and I can spread out firing of the weapons by some fraction of a second. The question would be does that get around the drop in weapon power…
