I just found that myself, and the option to not start full screen. I ran a force verify too, but its still stalling at startup. At least I can still access my other windows now. The game worked on my laptop, so I guess I need to try a reinstall on my PC next.
Not having to tie ships to a faction is a good thing, because most of the ships the KDF have gotten are just the "klingon version" of something starfleet gets anyway, because making a straight klingon ship wasn't worth the dev/art time. Now, if they have a cool concept for a ship, they don't have to worry about "can I make…
Played mission twice today. First time Battlecruiser got stuck inside station and had to quit when couldn't blow it up. Second time last transport didn't move. Had to blow it up. Fixing the TFO did not fix it.
Synth Wave froze cuz one battleship was stuck and wouldn't warp out. Couldn't claim free Prize Pack for some reason (clicked to start mission with Oona and Grym on two different characters, never actually git the mission) The Episode's story was good, play was a little grindy. Yeah the laser targ was silly, but its a…
Guys, this is a #GoodThing. Instead of coming up with T7 ships and trying to resell all the ships everyone has bought, you just upgrade the ships you want to "T7" @ambassadorkael#6946 If you upgraded a scalable T6 ship, when/how do the bonus slots show up if you use that ship class later on a new toon?
I disagree. I think that Seven can be brought in line with a visual update and some dialogue tweaks, Icheb and Hugh were never vital parts of the STO story, so they can be replaced and a more in-line characterization can be brought in for Hugh later if they want. The advantage of being a video game is that these things can…
Has anyone tried the new upgrade items? The Rarity upgrade (+1 Tech Point, x8 Upgrade chance) doesn't seem to make sense to me, it barely changed the rarity percentage chance on the item I used it on and I still had to dump a bunch of other upgrades in to get the Tech Points high enough to roll for the rarity change.
The mission was fun, but the game lagged worse than I've ever experienced, between stutters and rubber banding and delays on abilities activating and registering, it was super frustrating to play which took a lot of the wind out of the episode's impact for me.

Transporting those people would be problematic. Galaxy class starship has crew of 1000, so assume transport an extra 2000 at most if packed to the gills, and that's for a large starship. Just a billion people would take 500 trips. And that's not including the necessary materials for shelter and supplies for those people to…
The simple solution (and for foundry too) is to make a set of interact points that are added to every bridge map that could have npcs, mobs, etc keyed to them. This means that a simple story could be mapped regardless of the players bridge, just with less customization than a normal map. Alternately, they could make a…
So it would literally be worse than atomic warfare or Adolf Hitler? (I tease your use of hyperbole ;p ) You're right that that execution would probably not work all that well, but the point of there being too many divisions of choice and a need to streamline selection of alternatives stands.
The spec tree, like the rep changes before it, is meant that the veteran advantage is in options, not raw power. that way, they can keep adding reps and specs without veterans being so far above the curve of someone who just hit 60. My only gripe is pilot is clearly superior as a tree since all the skills affect space,…
I thought the same a while ago. An hourly or four hour rotation of enough queues that any specific mark could be obtained, but only from one source (or maybe one ground/one space). Especially when they have gotten around to sprucing up all the queues, it would be more interesting than just grinding khitomer vortex over and…
"Project sliders for Reputation, Guild, and Alliance contributions will now start at the maximum slider value instead of the minimum, excluding Dilithium" This is my new favorite thing
Remember, with the changes to event reputation you will only need to run the race once per day on the same toon, and the ship will be unlocked for all your toons once the project is complete.
It's probably unlocked if you did the mission, but not if you bought from the lobI store. Also, the ships are technically race specific, so if you did the federation mission, you might not have access to the Klingon one, etc.
They are also heading up to a major release with season 11. They have the build they are getting ready to push with the new release, and the one currently on the servers, so any changes have to be made on both until launch. Boritcus has said in seasons before that they hold back major changes this close so there aren't…
You can put the KDF/Fed fleet uniforms on your affiliated BOFFs, just not thr ROm captain. It should cost less on that toon since the toon can't wear it.
Hopefully Mirror Leeta means they are remastering the Cardassian arc, which looks like poopycrap compared to the rest of the story missions now that the Borg and romulans have been redone (honestly, Breen arc could use some polish, but it ain't horrible) They can cut out "evil Kid of Mirror Obrien" and make an actually…
It would be nice if the spec point reward reset when the new weekly doodad became available. I saw the reinforcement beacon was available this morning and ran the mission, but didn't get the spec point. I would have just waited til tomorrow.
Nandi looks nice, though odd that a warship can't equip dual cannons. To the previous poster's statement, I don't even need the lockbox ships to be account unlocks, just a player unlock or a way to repackage would be a help.
It does seem to be a issue though, that a Doff on the ground roster prevents a similar diff from being added to the space roster. We're there specializations that had both ground and space versions when the system launched?
