The secret is to not use ARC but to make a shortcut directly to the STO exe and place that on your desktop, it will start the launcher and avoid having to use ARC
It will be a "Thank You" if the part about controllers working again is accurate. They were recently working fine on Tribble. This issue alone has kept many of us from playing since Delta Rising launched.
Because the button assignments would be all messed up Direct input and x-box controllers use different positions for their A,B,X, and Y buttons. It's why I refused to play on holodeck despite being able to switch to "x-box mode" on my f-310 because the assignments I had made were basically reversed, what I was used to…
I'm one of those that prefers the logitech controller also, Why should I go to the expense of a $50 controller and a $25 adapter for USB when when a $20 F-310 will do the same thing. Also an added note. STO "normally" supports these gamepads natively, so programs such as x-padder etc. are not needed if you know how to set…
Actually binding controller buttons/stick movements to keybinds simple replaces the control linked to that command and and with the ones ih is suggesting if you bind the left stick's up, down, left, right to pitch, and turn you get full analog control over that movement. It's part of my standard setup. I happen to be…

It currently only works on tribble, it has not made it to holodeck yet. For proper use of direct input sticks you need to enable controllers, and disable x-box type. It does work even with my highly customized keybind set. Make sure you are in chase cam mode, as free cam can have that effect, as the stick simply simulates…
Well I did have it so pressing the right trigger and up, down, left or right on the D-pad of my controller did so and both triggers balanced them, but right now controller support is gone, so I'm currently not playing until they fix it.
Bump... still not fixed. Would one of the Devs even acknowledge they know this is a major issue... you have lifetime subscribers who are unable to play.
What's worse is they could have avoided it completely because the exact thing that's happening is exactly what happened last time, the button assignments in the bind files being changed to hex codes. They simply used the same flawed code. Don't try to "fix" what isn't broken idiots.
Another maintenance, still no fix for this issue. I wonder if there's any way I can transfer my LTS to Champions Online, at least they still support controllers.
They don't need support from the makers of the controllers, they worked fine before delta rising and what's happening is exactly the same thing as what happened at the start of season 9, They know exactly how to fix it. As for "more important" bugs, this is top priority to myself and the numerous other players who have to…
Then why hasn't the issue with non-xbox type controllers not working been addressed? Do have none of the devs tried the game with one? Direct input is broken, and even with X-box type you can't edit inputs in the Controller section of options, if you try it clears instead of replacing them, like trying to swap camera…
Get off your lazy asses Devs and get this fixed. It's more important than all the other "bugs" being addressed as many players can't even play to experience these other "bugs". You're ignoring disabled players completely this time and you knew it would be an issue when you did it because the same thing happened at the…
Ignoring the fact that Joystick and Controllers do not work anymore so people who can't use a keyboard cannot play anymore. Including numerous lifetime subscribers. We paid $300+ for a game we can no longer play or enjoy. FIX THIS!!!!!
Along that of not being able to comment about the Release Notes I've noticed that... Joystick and Controller Support still hasn't been either fixed or even acknowledged
Yep and those programs don't let you control camera rotation through the joystick which is the main reason for using a controller. it gives far more freedom of movement than wasd with is what emulating keyboard presses would do.
