You can turn off the visuals of "special" shield types, like the Jem hadar and Breen shields. Click on the shield icon on the ship character window and select "Disable Visuals."

Day #2, still can't log in. Keep getting stuck on Cryptic logo (which seems kinda ironic). Can we get an official response on this?

Trying to log in tonight. Game freezes on the Cryptic load screen. Tried the "force verify" option and the "run as administrator." No effect. Can we get a response from PW about this? Or at least an acknowledgement of the problem?
