No, it doesn't automatically go to Gold subscribers. You have to purchase a Lifetime Sub to get all the Veteran Rewards up front. To get the 1,000 Day ship as a Gold you'll have to pay considerably more and it will actually take 1,000 days.

I was having the same problem. Do you use Google Chrome? I opened up my old Explorer and did it through there and it worked finally. Might be some sort of cookie thing or something. Good luck!

Champions stops at 1,000 as well, and they were several hundred days behind in even releasing them.

I think they've said a few times that they aren't going to be initating them. As it stands, anyone who isn't a Lifer who has paid for 1,000 days of monthly subs has sunk a lot of change into this game. The new ship is a lot of fun. It has a lot of the strengths of both the Escort and Cruiser and few of the weaknesses. I love the new animation as well. Thanks so much for this ship! Despite all the controversy surrounding the recent Lifetime perk thing, it was a fitting reward for 1,000 days of service.

You wouldn't be cheated. When you hit 1,000 days being a paid subscriber you too would have access to the ship. That's why it was called a "Veteran's Reward" - to reward players who have been supporting the game financially through subscriptions for that long.

Basically, this really seems like a "Oh no, Star Wars Old Republic is going F2P...WE'RE DOOMED so let's make as much money in one go as we can" sort of moment. TOR is a much better game so that most likely will really happen.

That would have made sense. Those are fantastic ideas! I really like the "Founder of the Federation" title since the other one is now completely meaningless. They really snatched defeat from the jaws of victory here. What should have been a celebration for many of us seems tainted (again).

I really hope that whatever they give us it isn't the ship equivalent of the last uniform variant. That was very disappointing for many of us, and hopefully they took that into account. 18 days to go until 1,000 days is hit. I'm optimistically excited :D

There is no fee. It comes out exactly the same. 2000 zen = 1600 CP. They don't take anything out. It is just a silly extra step when trying to give them your well-earned cash.
