It really is a shame though. Like I said before, this could have been a chance to make up for their previous messes regarding email promo's. Instead, it's only caused more anger.
Because, of course, giving out a top tier ship to only a random sub-set of players who qualify for it, despite that ship being a virtual good that can be given out as many times as Cryptic wants for no cost, is an absolutely brilliant idea with no downsides at all. /s
For what it's worth, I also thought of this possibility and so I filled it all out on my ARC profile. No email yet, but of course I wouldn't if they were sending them out in batches. Of course, there's also the possibility of it being a case of 'too late, tough luck', and they're only sending it out once. Yet again,…
Arc quests: another transparent attempt to get people to use their crummy launcher, without doing anything to solve the reasons people don't use it in the first place.
Before anything else: WOOOHOOOO! Finally an event sci ship. Hopefully it won't suck, but the event ships are generally at least decent. Now, last years event ship was the Kobali cruiser, which was our first taste of the command spec. This year, we're getting a Krenim science ship, how unreasonable is it to hope a temporal…
I'm not an idiot, thanks. I have the sarr theln carrier and multiple other ships with single hangar bays, I have elite level pets for most of them, and have used them extensively, I'm not just complaining for fun. Using pets in this game is a pain in the TRIBBLE, they barely do any damage compared to player ships even when…
Not the one I voted for but I'll admit it looks better than I expected. Not that it matters, unless we get a huge buff to pets, some bug fixes and an AI update, carriers are still a pain in the TRIBBLE to play. I don't even bother launching my pets on my presidio half the time. I'm certainly not going to spend $30 on one…
Disappointed but unsurprised. I have all the ships already but this whole 'exclusivity' thing is utter TRIBBLE. Nobody who has the ships will be upset if someone who joins later in the game gets them as well, it's just a transparent attempt to get people spending lobi to get the ships a few days early. I highly doubt it…
As has been pointed out several times, lots of content has been removed previously 'for potential improvements' never to be seen again, mine trap and breach are gone for good. Shame too, only played mine trap once or twice but breach was a personal favourite of mine, even if it was next to impossible to get a group for it.…
Yeah, I mean, I'm not going to actually complain about free stuff unless it actively hurts me, but I'm not exactly going to get very excited over some extra doffs or marks either.
Funny how that works, huh? Cryptic doesn't care if you feel you're getting your gear upgraded at a reasonable pace, they only care about you giving them money. In fact, in that sense, the longer it takes the better, in their view. I'm not meaning to be rude, just saying that Cryptic doesn't care and so it isn't going to…
You might as well. The community both here and there sucks, and the devs have already abandoned the forums in favour of reddit anyway so it's not like you'll be missing out on anything important. Quite the opposite in fact, you're more likely to miss important information by staying here.
I suppose the idea is to put you in an unfinished run to replace someone who warped out early so that the other players aren't screwed over by someone abandoning them. It's unfortunate that it happens even after the optional fails though, but at least you can still try and complete it to get the usual rewards.
I... wasn't 'asking' for a cross faction ship, I was stating that it'd be one. It's not like I spent 3 hours thinking about how to word it, I typed it up in like 5 seconds and pressed 'post comment'.
Cross faction, as in one ship usable by all factions, not three faction specific ships. Because obviously the only reason anyone could ever have to want to fly a large, capital ship is because they have a tiny willy. Seriously questerius?
It's a good thing the devs don't listen to these posts when it comes to ship stats. We might get the Rezreth, although after the change in the summer event I'm not getting my hopes up. We definitely are not getting those stats though.
Edit- Ah, you edited while I was posting. Well here's what I basically said anyway, it elaborates on my position either way. That's why you wouldn't progress the 'monster' character, you'd unlock things for your real character maybe, and they'd probably be cosmetic stuff anyway. My thoughts was something along the lines of…
This topic did give me another thought for a potential battery though. If all we're interested in is getting disabled systems back online, some form of 'restart' battery would be cool. It wouldn't boost your power levels like a normal battery, but it could be used to get any system back online. But yeah, crew itself is…
It'd be cool, definitely, although while I understand the calls for using it for pvp personally I'd prefer a pve form (not to say we can't have both, of course, I'm just not interested in pvp). Some kind of progression system that would unlock 'things' (whatever they may be) for your main character, as mentioned above,…
The queues that never pop don't pop whether there's an event running or not. Something needs to be done to make people want to queue for them, but stopping the events isn't going to make a difference.
I've done that queue a grand total of once, roughly two and a half years ago. I'd definitely support an event for it (or the other 'never pops' queues mentioned above). Doubt it'll happen though.
If it were something small like a shuttle or a few keys, that'd be one thing, but a $30 ship and ten spec points is way too much for a 'please come back' bribe as far as I'm concerned.
