I've never understood the constant need to win every time. Sure, winning is fun, but losing is a realistic possibility in any combat scenario. A few losses here or there won't hurt you, unless you have an easily wounded pride. If the groups you're in fail too often though.. maybe you should look around for other people?
They buggered something up good. I'm also having trouble with my Nvidia card. Setting CUDA to none helped for a while, but now it's not working at all. It is definitely something to do with STO Season 10. Never had these problems before with the game and my card.
Count me in for a Pulaski appearance. The first couple of episodes I wasn't sure what to think, but then I grew to like her, and missed her when she was gone. I kinda hoped that she would pop up from time to time.
No thanks on a voice for my character. They wouldn't be able to get it right, unless someone was willing to shred his vocal cords. Even trying to imitate the voice myself makes my throat ache after a couple of minutes.
Juan "Johnnie" Rico was Filipino in the novel. Mind you, the Bug Hunt STF seems to be based more on the Movie though. ALIENS would have been even more awesome with the Marines running around in M.I. powered armor. ;-)
It's the nerdy moments that make life worth living. Case in point, my sig pic in which HK-47 steals from Star Trek in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. "Exclamtion: Damnit Master! I'm an assassination droid, not a dictionary!" The first time I heard it, I laughed heartily. The next few times I heard it I laughed even…
I have several T5-U ships. I have not yet bought a T6 because I've not seen a single one that sparks my interest. To me, despite the work put into them, most are ugly as sin, and I refuse to pay the price asked for them (Pathfinder I do like the looks of.. but price!). I have my Fleet Patrol Escort and it does the job I…
Oh I've had a slotted weapon get swapped for another weapon when I hit STF ground. And while my warp core didn't wander off into inventory, I have had my impulse engines and shields do so... luckily at different times. Fun to pop into a mission and get blown to hell because your shields didn't come along for the ride. I…
NO Gecko, I am NOT enjoying the 5th anniversary What in Ghenna where you people thinking when you decided to change my boffs powers? Changing them to random stuff that does not fit my build or play style at that? Now I know why I waited until tonight to give the new year a try: I knew that yall would find some way to mess…
As HK-47 would say about Neelix: "Translation: He requires proof of good faith. We must make a contribution to his people that shows we are not a threat. Shall I blast him now, master?"
You are looking at 44% as a Return on Investment. It is a one time chance on a one time roll... every time. You might hit a string where you get 6 in 10, or you may run 25 and get 0. But each time, that 44% will only apply to that ONE roll. The rolls before and the rolls after have nothing to do with anything. That is the…
For Gorn's sake. It is time to upgrade the hamsters. Seriously consider getting some gerbils or at least adding more gerbils to the wheels. Buncha slack-@&&^&.
In-game I'm not so sure. Call me what you will, but I've always enjoyed the Devidian story arc. As far as the shows, like most of the answeres I've seen so far: Dukat for the win. Dukat is this great example of someone who could have had all the power and adulation he could deal with with just bit of honest compassion…
With 44%, you actually have a 56% chance of NOT getting Ultra Rare. As many others have said, 44% does not mean that you will have 44% of the items be Ultra Rare. It just means that for that one roll, you stand that 44% chance of getting the big prize. Basically this is like shooting craps. You are putting your money on…
while I don't play it often, I would nominate my Temporal ship. Everything in it is based around slowing down the enemy. Grav well, Temporal Warfare set, tractor beams, chroniton torpedoes.. and just for a little icing both the Tipler cylinder and the Mannheim device consoles. What I use most just for a bit of immersion…
During its run, I disliked Neelix. The character just grated on my nerves. By the half way point of the second season, the whole show grated on my nerves. Despite all of that, there were actually a few moments in the game where I did like Neelix... for the first time. I think a lot of the Neelix hate is because the…
