i had the same on crashing trying to get back in. i waited about 10 minutes after a reboot and it let me in, but when i started the mission again it crashed at same spot.

I have found a work around. you can use a few dif consoles to break you out of sentry mode. Voth Phase Decoy, Battle Cloak and Hull Image Refractors. There could be more but those are the ones that i have and it worked. basicly they all break you out of red alert status making the sentries disarm.
