I've found the sane thing with various consoles, cloak, MVAM, chevron/saucer separation. The quick fix is to fly away, and unequip then re-equip the console. It resets the feature, unlocking or researching depending on the console.

Now my temporal rewards tab is gone from my 23c toon. I still have the transponder in my invemtory but the tab is just gone. *EDIT* I logged back in and this particular bug/glitch was gone and the tab came back for all 23c toons.

I've found that if you unequip then re-equip the mvam console you will re-combine.
