This appears to be another Directx Related Problem. Running the sto through dxcpl lets you login, but it is very slow. Hopefully this won't take 2 weeks to fix.

in STO does not load after 12-08-20 patch, crashes 100% of attempts to log in. Comment by archernx05 December 2020
