I'm just now playing through the "J'Ula's Discovery" episodes. I'd already played "Measure of Morality" months back (and that was GOOD!). It all starts out strong but just becomes back-to-back system patrol stuff with not even any ground missions. A bit disappointing.

I can't even get into the game to change any graphical settings.

I don't think there's anything on the Intel site that validates things. I mean, it's hard to believe the graphics chip wouldn't work with the game... since it came out two years after the game first came out.

This is what dxdiag tells me: There is no newer driver for it. I can try to uninstall it and reinstall the game... but because this is a fresh install and I've already tried the file checking (above), I'm not optimistic that would change anything.

That'd be cool. Though presumably Starfleet would have disassembled the hull and carted it away from Veridian III, in case the people from Veridian IV ever stumbled upon it. Like, before they got Warp.

FYI, I heard back on my ticket. They advised to update my video driver, but after I told them it says it's up to date they said Cryptic would have to do a fix on their end. *shrug*

Yeah, I was looking to visit Veridian III or at least fly (maybe a patrol?) through the system but was disappointed to see it wasn't there. The planet where James T. Kirk died is kind of important. Like, they include the Briar Patch from Insurrection but not that?

Tried all of the above (well, not Steam... I don't use that). Doesn't make any difference... still crashes.

OK, I tried turning off On Demand Patching and turned on Force Verify. It still crashes at the same spot.

I didn't do that, and sure enough it crashed at the same part it did before after patching itself. Will try it again with On Demand Patching off and Force Verify on.

It went through a lot of "Verifying ____" and now is patching the whole game. We'll see what happens.

Where is the file check in the launcher? I don't see any option for that. I'm just clicking on the shortcut for STO it put on the desktop, then clicking Engage.

The Terran Empire had the tech benefit of a 100 year head start (the Defiant arriving in the 22nd century from the 23rd).

But like the VOY missions in the Delta Quadrant only really involved Captain Paris, Captain Kim, and the Doctor, I for sure would love new DS9 missions with like, Bashir, Garak, Quark especially, Rom, Kira. Ah, I did notice that. Though I'm not sure why Odo is regular DS9 Odo and not Ambassador Odo while Nog is Captain Nog and not regular Nog... unless something in-story happens I haven't hit yet. What is "Victory is Life"? I don't see that as one of the campaigns listed on the Episode tab. Yeah, I just stumbled into "Of Bajor" while also doing the Gamma Quadrant campaign. Funny that the Dominion cripples DS9 in "Of Bajor" and then the Hur'q do the same thing in the main campaigns. Wasn't really feeling "Of Bajor."…

I meant shuttlebay, not hangar. It's a Temporal cruiser. It's the one that looks like the Enterprise-J but has 4 nacelles.

Got it! Also... eh... how do I add a hangar to a ship? To deploy shuttles?
