Who is going to Replace Snix?

Is this a lateral move internally with a new addition to fill the bottom slot
    or
Is this a new addition replacing him and the rest of the "ladder" stays the same?

Cryptic is currently hiring Systems Designers and one of the many qualifications is a knowledge of the Star Trek IP.

He's not gone yet. Don't bury him. :p

    Snix:

Star Trek Online is a very good game.

It is a better game for your having been a part of it. And our community will be the poorer for your absence.

    All luck and Bon Chance.

    Greetings all,

I wanted to thank all of you that have contributed to the various suggestion and feedback threads over these many months since STO opened its doors. It has been incredibly rewarding to see your enjoyment of the game and to work with you and the team to improve upon it after launch. It is always a great feeling as a designer to see players become so passionate about your game and to know that through the game you’ve reached out to a community.

With that thought in mind, I bid you a fond farewell as this will be my last week at Cryptic. I’ve accepted a design position with another company and look forward to new design challenges while having fond memories of STO’s development. I will enjoy experiencing the STO team’s continued improvements and the upcoming ground combat revision now as a player as well as a former developer.

I hope to see all of you in game in the future, whether fighting alongside in a featured episode or across the battlefield in a PvP match.

    It’s been an incredible adventure.

Snix, I wish you the best in what ever you do going forth, I know you cared about this game as well as the people that play it.

Thanks again for joining us this past weekend in Shuttle Wars !

    Good Luck ! :D

Buena Suerte, Snix. The community will never forget all you did for this game.

*remembers being blown up somewhere about a thousand times in PvP matches*

You've helped make the game great, and no matter what people may say, I think you've really done a good job with....

    uhh.......

    What was Snix's position again?

    Anyway, you'll be back.

They always come back. FOR YOUR SOULS!!!!!!!!!

Maybe we should hold some sort of memorial on Earth Spacedock or Quo'nos. Suggestions?

I still hope they don't mess it up.. the current ground pvp is just perfect, other games have way worse balance there, the part that needs improvement is the npc/pve part with more interaction, story telling and the difficulty settings. Ground pvp is just fine, making drastic changes will just alienate the few people that are really interested in ground pvp in sto.

We've still got D'Sthal's leadership to guide us! We may have lost one, and I wish Snix the best, but we must keep going! This game, it's dev. team, and it's community, we are all on a journey, and this journey, this Great Journey waits for no-one!

(And yes, I was going for the Halo reference there)

    Gees Folks....

It not the end of the world for STO.... Snix will be sorely missed, I'm sure...

But his departure won't close down the servers.....

(sorry to implode yer Ego, Snix. :p)
