Breen Cruiser Subnuc Beam

Unless my eyes are deceiving me, the Breen Cruiser seems to have a much larger than 90 degree arc for its Subnucleonic Beam. I've been on its port or starboard sides, more towards the aft, and it's been able to use it on me. Is that intended or a bug?
