Where's my power?

I logged into STO after the patch and my shield power levels were at 70 instead of 78. Nothing was mentioned in the release notes? Anyone else notice changes to their power levels post-patch?

You have to enter "By the Power of Greyskull, I have the power!" in the chat to restore it.

    ...what?

Would anyone who is experiencing this issue mind linking more information?
    1) Captain Class (tactical, science, engineer)
    2) Ship type
    3) Power level configuration (attack, defense, speed, balanced)
    4) Items equipped that effect shield stats

Actually I have to ask the question: Were you looking at your power levels in sector space or system space?

In sector space your power display does not display all of your power bonuses. So your power levels appear lower than they actually are.

For example, off the top of my head, my current power config shows 48 shields and 48 aux in sector space, but in system space (where combat actually takes place), both are actually above 50.

I'll second this question, because 8 points is the discrepancy I get between sector stats and non-sector stats. It's the +5 from the starting trait (forget the name) and +3 from Starship Warp Core Training. What it could be is that either the OP is in sector space, or a bug where his stats aren't updating correctly in non-sector space (i.e. the skills aren't being used).

I just noticed this yesterday as well. I was in sector space, and only had a +8 boost to shields (with a +5.5 console), instead of the +28 I normally had. I went into a system, and everything was back to normal, so I just figured it was an oddity of sector space.

I noticed the same thing today. I rolled a female alien science officer with Efficient, Warp Theorist, Astrophysicist, and Stubborn as traits. After completing the tutorial and installing my Borg BO, I noticed that my power levels were still dead even in attack configuration (100/100 weapons, 50/50 shields, 25/25 engines, 25/25 aux). Did not see any bonuses in there.

This character is currently at level 2 and still playing the Miranda-class starter ship.

I don't currently have any consoles installed that would affect power levels, just the captain and Borg BO. The Red Matter capacitor did work for a short-term boost, though.

Addition: This was during a combat mission...the early one with the SS Azura

As everyone has surmised. If you are looking at power levels while in Sector Space, skill based bonuses aren't applied. Only ship or console power settings bonuses will be seen. If you want to see your, treu power settings you must be in a mission or system instance.

That would be what I noticed - engines 25/25 in sector space, 32/25 in system - all from engine efficiency skill.

Still seeing the same thing tonight. Created ticket # 718,813 to report as a bug. Still getting the same power levels across the board when in-system or in combat: 100/100 weapons, 50/50 shields, 25/25 engines, and 25/25 aux. As before, this is with an alien science character with Efficient and Warp Theorist traits and the Borg BO with the efficient trait at the engineer station.

Oddly enough, it just seems that the Miranda ship with my lowbie is the only one affected. My other two higher characters are both working properly.

I have been playing a character with the eff captain trait and she has had the following settings
    105/100 weapons, 58/50 shields, 33/25 engines and 43/25 aux. until recently/

In the last week or so I note sometimes in her Recon Science Vessel they all will drop to exact even
    100/100 50/50 25/25 and 25/25 for all settings.

The last few days - most times all the other settings seem to have returned to the higer values except weapons - it is stuck at 100/100

Her 4 traits are: accurate, creative, efficient captain, warp theorist she is alien science officer vice admiral.

Today I switched her to some of her other ships and every time it was 105/100 for her cruisers but only 100/100 for her sci ships. she doesn't own any escorts on the main server but

On Tribble test server she has the defiant retrofit and it reads 115/100 :) you can leave that in- LOL - maybe that boost is from the ship? Her recon vessel on tribble is also bugged weapons being 100/100

I also have a borg Engineer captain. When the borg bridge officer is added - there is no change in her power settings. I thought having both would somehow stack a bit at least but hers are 105/100 weapon before and after the borg boff.

Something is up and I'm posting here cause all the bug tickets I ever put up in game - have NEVER gotten anything but an auto-reply... which is very annoying too.

One more note: My Sci officer plays on Elite mode most the time - all her sci ships have taken a lot of damages - I did check to see the ships were fully healed but I've been thinking that maybe something from the injury system is affecting her sci ships even after supposed repair. I rarely fly her cruisers and they have never taken injuries.

    Additional notes:
My borg tactical Klingon character with accurate, borg Neural Blast, Eff Capt., Borg Nanites
and my alien science klingon character with accurate, creative, warp theorist
    and efficient captain
both have the following attack power levels:
    115/100
    53/50
    31/25
    31/25

When the "efficient" borg bridge officer is added to each crew and assigned to slot on their ships there is no change at all. The levels are the same as they were for a common klingon engineer that held the spot before the borg boffs.
