yeah I also get CTD after the new patch, it seems that the exe and some textures keep getting corrupted.
I don't have a crash report right now, but I have sent some of the crashes I have gotten.!
Am playing on max setting's of the game
my computer is following.
Rampage 2 extreme motherboard
ATI Radeon 5870 Graphics Card
12 gig ram
I7 2,33 CPU
this is more than enough to play at max setting of this game so it is not the stress on the computer that generate this.
This started for me also after the last patch of the game before the patch it played like a dream no trouble at all.
Hope this is being looked at asap because it ruined the game play totally for me it happens more and more often.
It seems to crash quite a bit when I try to do any B'tran daily mission. Sometimes I'm able to load into the mission, finish it, but when it tries to load me back B'tran area, it crashes. Other times, it will crash immediately when I enter into the mission. I've submitted a bug report for each crash so far.
I'm getting a massive amount of crashes on ground missions, windowed, full screen or maximised windowed. Happens without fail when attempting to queue up abilities. Sometimes it comes up saying it's a DX texture problem.
I have the latest drivers and a decent rig:
i7 920
ATi HD 5770 1GB
6GB DDR3
Windows 7 Ultimate

what kind of settings do you have going in game as now?
please list the entire graphic settings you have under video.
general things many forget as fast as they have a new rig my self included.
now not to brag or any thing but to set an example to this.
is that one set the graphic to max on all accounts and dint realise how much this
stress the computer.
now
I have an I7 920
ATI Radeon 5870
12 gig ram
motherboard is rampage 2 extreme
this is to get smooth edges and softer look on 3d models and much, much more.
but this setting stresses computers fast and hard.
lets look at this
the reason I mention this is in this game you can chose to use 2-4-8 times antialiasing
and texture Anisotropic filtering." that is much the same way as antialiasing but works directly on the texture and not the scene as antialiasing do.
now at 2 times antialiasing the computer must calculate 4 times more data
at 4 it must calculate 8 times the data
and 8 we are at 16 times the data for the single picture you see on screen.
so you can see the problem here if your system cant handle that much data you will get CTD
now the Anisotropic part http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Anisotropic_compare.png
this is the same as mention above and here you can go to 16 times but this is
not as hard to compute at max setting the computer must calculate the data at 4 times at max setting.
and upon all that it must also calculate all the other settings you have going, so now you can start to see how this can fast max your rig and cause an CTD.
I on my computer run the game at 2-4 antialiasing and 8-16 Anisotropic filtering
so under performance I run as following and have a smooth game play all the time even in pvp and star base 24 battles.

now as the screen resolution I cant give an advice I have the old time 4:3 format no wide screen for me, lol am waiting on my led screen tho.
so consider all this and adjust accordingly, also IMPORTANT the more resolution you have more cpu power is needed so try out and balance the game to your rig.
hope this can help you and others in this problems, it did for me once i turned down some of the settings and went full screen.:)
