Offering of esteem/appreciation/friendship

On 4 seperate occasions I have done aid the planet missions, and have received offerings of "esteem/appreciation/frienship" and when I use it, I do not get a reward, the offering just vanishes.

I have filled out bug reports on this, but 4 times is way to many times, so I am expressing my displeasure in another venue.

    Just had it happen to me as well. I used it in sector space, right after coming out from system space.
