Species change token: broken ground trait/slot after switching to alien

Issue: on switching to an alien species (from human) the ground trait "aggressive" was automatically slotted into the new trait slot. However, the trait doesn't think it's equipped. So I can't unequip it from the slot and its unclear whether aggressive is providing any benefit at the moment. Clicking on the trait's equip button just brings up an error.

Troubleshooting: changed maps, relogged, tried moving bugged trait to new slot. No effect.

Character: Duncan Idaho@Gorgonops

Furthermore, if another trait slot is vacated, aggressive can (apparently) be equipped twice by clicking on the equip button for the trait. Eg. this does not help in clearing the error. A 12 year old main character is now bugged, so a fix would be greatly appreciated lest I need to turn to support to reset the character to 5/27 spec (and swear off future species changes as not work the risk).

Update: I FOUND A SOLUTION. There is one method of trait removal I didn't know about that works with the bugged trait. Ie. right click it.

Has anyone tried dragging a trait from the list over the 'bugged' slot?

Yes, and no that didn't work. The problem trait remains. Right clicking the trait is what clears it.

Also, in trying to use the token on a Romulan (changing over to liberated Borg, hoping this was the extent of the issues...incorrectly) old species traits (ex. SRO) are still equipped to characters on transfer, but not included in the trait list, effectively creating the same issue of a bricked trait slot. Solution is to right click again, but players may not know about this issue (thus: give PSAs, or pull the token until issues are resolved).
