Account-Wide Competitive Wargames Reputation Gear Discount FAILED to work

Sometime after 9:30am EDT on Sep.2, 2024, I was on my "Sunshine" character and completed the project for Reputation Gear Discount in the Competitive Wargames Rep category. I filled all the fields including "Assessed Stratagems" and finished that project, but I did NOT receive any discount and all my items still cost the same as they did before completing the gear discount project.

I changed characters to "Lexi" and found the same thing there, NO discount in the Competitive Wargames rep. This was supposed to be an ACCOUNT unlock, but not only did it NOT unlock this reputation category on my Account, it did not even unlock it on the character I did the discount project on. Yes, I did log on and off and still no discount. I know it did not work because a friend said one of the items I want in the CW rep only costs 3 stratagems and 10,000 EC etc.. , yet on my characters it costs 5 stratagems and 20,000 EC.

It's a purchased unlock to "discount" prices in the Competitive Wargames reputation. If I am going to buy an item I want, it will cost 20,000 Energy Credits, 16,250 Dilithium, 5 Assessed Stratagems and 375 Competitive Marks, BUT my friend said those prices are wrong and that I did not receive the discount because on his account those same items in the same Reputation category only cost 10,000 Energy Credits, 8,125 Dilithium, 3 Assessed Stratagems and only 188 Competitive Marks, significantly less than what I have to pay for the same items.

All my items cost the 20,000 EC, 16,250 Dil, 5 Stratagems and 375 Marks a couple days ago BEFORE I finished the project for account-wide gear discount on Competitive Wargames reputation, and after I filled the required fields and submitted the project, it completed, but all my items STILL cost me the same 20,000 EC, 16,250 Dil etc., not the discounted price my friend and others only have to pay (10,000 EC, 8,125 Dil etc.).

Conclusion:
It was supposed to be "Claim Account-Wide Competitive Wargames Reputation Gear Discount" project, which cost me 100 marks, 5 Assessed Stratagems, 20,000 Dilithium and 100,000 Energy Credits to unlock the gear discount on the entire account, but after paying for and finishing that gear discount project the other day, nothing changed in gear prices in the Competitive Wargames reputation category. So what I spent was completely wasted (100 marks, 5 stratagems, 20,000 dil, 100,0000 EC) as nothing changed on that character and all my other characters. At the very least, I am requesting that my 100 marks, 5 Assessed Stratagems, 20,000 Dilithium and 100,000 Energy Credits be returned/refunded to my Sunshine character as I paid all that and received NOTHING.

I don't believe the discount is meant to be account wide. It hasn't for me anyway. The discount also only applies to the type of part crafted. For example I have a character that has a Prevailing Innervated Impulse Engine that I paid full price for, but now all the other Engines show a discounted price (10k EC, 8125 dil, 3 Stratagems, and 188 marks). All the other parts still show full price seeing as I haven't crafted any of that type.

Where did you hear/read that the discount would be account wide? I can't remember ever seeing that anywhere.

Edit: Sorry I had forgotten about the tier 6 discount unlock. Unlocked it years ago myself.
Just to add the discount does not reduce the cost of Elite Marks in this case Stratagems.

where it states: Account-Wide Reputation Gear Discount!
Reduce the project costs for all future Reputation Gear projects for every character on your account (does not affect Elite Mark requirements).

Once you craft a part you get another discount for that part type. Reducing the cost to 188 marks, 3 Stratagems, 8,125 dil, and 10,000 Ec.

So really you're dealing with multiple discounts here.

That is the discounted price. The project has completed successfully.

How on earth did he/she manage to get prices like that?

I know some items in the Reputations are cheaper than others, but I've not seen those specific numbers before.

I do know that once you craft an item, subsequent versions of that same item can become further discounted. However, the discount is only for that character, and is unique to the Competitive Reputation.

Certain items cost more than others, even after discounts. The discounts are applied as a percentage (usually roughly half), and ONLY affect that reputation. Therefore, it's wise to eventually get all your reputations to tier 6 on at least one character. After that, further tier 6s do NOT apply further discounts; they simply "tier II" all unlocked rep traits for that character.
