    My guess would be that NPC that acts as one giving the briefing wasn't hidden correctly or had an incorrect skin applied for some reason.

    It's been a while since i played this TFO. What is it i am supposed to see?
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    I think its more that the OP's ship is invisible.

    It's just the old bug where the game forgets to switch your character's skin to your current ship from your ground skin - you can make out the little character model floating in the middle of the picture.

    Hah. I think I did take out a scorpion fighter with a hand weapon in Cutting the Cord, but using one on a startship is going to be slow going :)

    Setting a ship's power to balanced never makes much sense on an energy build. It's not like it's a hand weapon. Oh wait..

    Um , what you are supposed to be looking at is just above the center button that says briefing is your ship is actually your captain and not the ship :).
    This has happened to me several times in the last 6 months and is verry infrequent,
    The funny thing is, you can actually fight like that as you see your captain running thru space as you think your flying the ship you are instead flying your captain and the faster you go the faster he / she will run. LOL

    I'm sure there are at least a few Klingons who will respect your bravery.

    Why press buttons behind a console if you can just jump on enemy ships and take them down with a hand phaser? That is real combat.
