  Beware, the Console also needs line of sight, which the cube blocks. It won't hit stuff you can't see and it was this way on PC too.

  Be that as it may, the Console was disabled on a later patch for this TFO, so the devs are being consistent and managing to disable the use of this console before it causes problems.
  There's other TFO's in the game that disable the use of certain skills/consoles, so this is not new.

  It must have been very later in the event when they disabled the console on PC, I used the ship all the way until I earned the Alliance Rex ship then pretty much stopped playing the Task Force.
