    So..
    The Alliance Rex Pilot Escort, much like the great Dukan’Rex himself, is a bridge between quadrants. It draws primarily from the Jem’Hadar Fighter and the Defiant, and is employed similarly – groups of three, made of a lead ship and two wingmates.

    So, does that mean that it got both Pilot Maneuvers and Vanguard Wingmen mechanics?

    Now, all it needs is some nice console, interesting experimantal weapon ... and antiproton Quad Cannons B)

    A clear homage to the bugship & the Defiant, with little touches that harken to Klingon and Romulan ships too.

    Don't toy with me now - does this mean the Vanguard wingmen mechanic will also be available on the Rex?

    I hope we'll be able to use parts of the Defiant ship family on it - and vice versa.

    I've got a toon that's flying the Legendary Pilot warship and I'm not so eager nowadays to retire my ships just because I get a new one. Creating new toons isn't really an option for me anymore, either. Already have like 30 of them, so yeah. It would be nice if we could use parts of these ships.

    Unlikely, I know. But still, one can hope.

    Very Cool!! Love the Wingman feature! Only thing that would make it better would be if unlock a frigate pet along with the Jarok Alliance Carrier! like a throw back to the Jem'Hadar carrier and attack ship. Not that I'm upset about this ship. But, we sorely need a good frigate pet for our carriers!!!

    Except we don't know if it is a Vanguard ship yet. We'll find out when the stat blog comes out. The blog just has some lore fluff about it filling the same role as a Defiant and leading wolfpacks of three ships.

    Looks very nice, looking forward to seeing the stats. Consoles on the other Alliance ships are pretty handy for AP builds, and the possibility of quad AP cannons if we're lucky and it takes after the Defiant and it's faction cousins..

    Really hoping that Vanguard hint isn't just flavour text, one man strike wing yes please :)

    I'll be the pessimist and point out that all the other Quad Cannon variants have been found on pay for ships (Either Zen or Dilithium and the Dil ones at one point were Zen purchases), though I would be really happy if they did an AP Quad as a nice present. Maybe for the 15th Anniversary?

    That's a very nice looking ship. I think it will work well with different vanity shields too, to make it more like a faction's own ships.

    One thing they seem to have left out - When is this running? Start and end date would be nice.

    Good catch! We do know when it starts though according to the anniversary blog. It is January 23 but yes it would have been nice to have that information there as well as when it ends.

    They'll probably do a more specific Anniversary event post in a day or two as Cryptic usually do but will probably be from Jan 23rd to Feb 24th as it's the usual 40 daily progress job. Nominally 3 weeks and a week extra for anyone who goes somewhere for a few days.

    A 40 progress (20 days) Event runs for 30 days, so this will likely run Jan 23rd - Feb 22nd.

    Livestream has it with Wingmen and Pilot Manoeuvres, Quad AP was a "we'll see".
