"Patching (X) Files...4kb" When Launching TFOs

Like the title says, half the time I play lately, any time I launch a TFO or even a standard mission, the game gets bogged down between screens, saying "Patching (X#) Files...(X#)KB/smzwhegmltatw.png
Downloading...: So I have to close the game. Then, if I'm lucky enough to get back into a TFO when I re-launch, I have a "leaver penalty."

It has only been in the last couple of weeks this has been happening. I've verified my files; uninstalled and re-installed the game; and so on.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, did you solve it, and how did you go about it?

    Have you turned off On Demand Patching, turned on Force Verify, let it patch, and tried again?

    As sthe91 said above, do you have On Demand Patching enabled or not? If it's turned on then disable it in your options. This may force a download of a decent size if/when you do this as it's downloading the remaining files. On Demand Patching in theory is supposed to allow you to only download things as needed. However it's more trouble than its worth most of the time. Also are you going through any proxies or have you tried any of the proxy servers the launcher gives you?

    Thanks for your feedback, lads! I have just done what you have both suggested. I thought I had force-verified my files, but perhaps not. So, I'm trying that, and I've disabled on-demand patching. Here's hoping!

    Yeah the "on-demand patching" system doesn't quite work, I've had it disabled for ages.
