Forums home page bugged?

For the last few days whenever I go to the forums home page the latest post for many categories shows posts from back in September. Anyone else getting this also? Seems after a while it straightens itself out, but it's odd it shows old post sometimes.

    Yeah, that happens when they flush the spam trap every few months - old posts that got caught get restored with no accompanying alteration of position of threads or new post tags.

    Though, I could have sworn the mods claimed, years ago, they had a way to immunize accounts from ever getting affected by it and should have already immunized hundreds of accounts by now, so why this is still happening in such large numbers is beyond me since very few people use the forums anymore.​​

    I believe that is some issue with Vanilla. It doesn't have anything to do with us clearing the spam queue. Yes, at one time, we could fix a profile to cure getting caught by the automated spam catcher, but Vanilla changed something not too long ago, and now we can no longer do that. We can fix it from the spam queue, however, but one has to get caught first. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    it's been that way in the academy forum forever, all the top posts are years old and many no longer relevant

    What really got me to notice it was when the Galactic News Network was showing past events in the latest post spot.
