After arriving at the Haakona section in a shuttle, how does one enter the Vault?

    That depends on your career. Check the walkthrough.

    Have you talked to Commander DeSoto on Starbase 39 first?

    You have to attend a briefing before and after the mission to complete it.

    You find him in T'Naes office.

    Yes I have done all that. Have a Class 8 shuttle and when I get to the Haakona system nothing happens.

    I have tried everything and when I get to the system nothing happens. Talked w/ DeSoto, got shuttle, flew to system and nothing. This is frustrating.

    Have you tried dropping the mission and picking it up again?
    Otherwise you may want to skip it for the time being.

    Now, is that nothing happens because the Haakona system does not load? Or that the in game pop up with your bridge officers does not occur? Or is the map simply empty? Can your ship not move? Etc... Etc...

    Perhaps a little more detail would allow a resolution to the problem.

    This may be slightly off topic, but don't use the Type-8. Just, don't. It's free, but you know what you get for free...

    Cough up the 34k~ EC for the Danube Runabout (assuming you've been leveling through the storyline and taking everything that's not bolted down, that should be trivial pocket change) or purchase one of the C-store shuttles like the Delta Flier for 550Z. The Type-8 may (barely) be passable, but the Delta will make "not too horribly bad" into "somewhat fun".

    Some systems are abit off. Try adjusting your position when you get to Hakona up down closer farther away, that kind of stuff or are you trying to get inside the Vault?

    Yeah, the Haakona system is one of those where you have to fly around a bit in Sector Space before you find a "sweet spot" that will let you in.
    You're right. The work here is very important.

    I finished the main base but when I come out to help the Lhasa I take care of the SCorpion Fighters then nothing happens. The Bird of Prey used to explode after a while and the Lhasa says to leave at high warp. that doesen't happen anymore.
