"INVAIDIDENTITYNAME" being applied to ship name in Sector Space or space TFO

And persists afterwards with the log out/exit/log in trick not fixing it. Only going into a starbase does until back into space. You should probably check Fed accounts first...

    Its not fed only, its all factions, the only thing that seems to help temporarily is to go to the shipyard and then go back to the ship after which the name of the ship is correct again. Which has apparently been resolved, I don't know if it's the same for everyone, apparently I have my shuttle back on my ship. The solution for the ship name is only temporary because when starting a mission or tfo it will be gone in no time.

    So it wasn't just me seeing all these "InvalidEntityName" ships all over the area...

    I can confirm this as it is occurring on my account as well. Seems to have started with the last patch and the trigger is anytime a player goes to sector space if you beam down to a ground map and back to your ship its fixed but as soon as you go to sector space your ship name is bugged again.

    Hmmm... With all these 'InvalidEntityName' ships all over the place, I wonder if this would be a good name for a new Fleet? :smiley:

    I'd expect it to be next patch, it's not a 'game breaker' and it is Easter where most folks will be not in work Friday through Monday, probably why they patched on Tuesday instead of today.

    I saw in the Borg Red Alert that my ship on my DSC character was a U.S.S. InvalidEntityName. I noticed the majority of ships in that Red Alert had that problem except at least one ship.

    I was able to fix my ship name earlier by going down to the esd shipyard, bringing up the edit options for ship name, did not change anything and then hit ok, upon beaming up to sol it showed as the correct ship name..

    Scratch that, although it made it the proper name again whilst i was in the actual system, once i moved to sector space it went back to invalididentityname again..
    Seems to be ok if i transwarp to another system like sphere allied space or goncra or ds9, but once i hit sector space itself it reverts back to invalididentityname.. :/

    INVALIDENTITYNAME everywhere.... log in/out, map change ...doesn't help...
