It's no secret to the players that the latest update on Console has made it unplayable on next-gen and borderline unplayable on older Xbox consoles. Tomorrow will be 1 week since the update that broke everything and as of this posting we have not heard anything from Cryptic acknowledging the fact that a problem exists. It would only take a few seconds to go to the official twitter or forums and post "we are aware of issue "X" and we are looking into it. Then when the solution is found update us with something like "We have located the problem and have submitted the fix to Microsoft for certification."
I'd like to think the majority of players of STO are reasonable and would be understanding (maybe I'm wrong). This would at least put it in Microsoft's hands and players would know Cryptic has done all they can. We are all aware of the long Certification process MS has, other game devs have posted the detailed process, it's not an efficient system but it is what it is. Those of us that have been around for awhile all know this process is a minimum of 5 days. At least we would know we are being heard and something is being done. This might be wishful thinking but if more companies put the wait time blame on MS they will adjust their process.
I don't think I am asking too much here, just a little communication can go a long way. If you look at the Twitter feed from this weekend it's kind of embarrassing because so many great things were happening, Fleet week and The Odyssey becoming canon, and the overwhelming majority of comments were about the game being unplayable, It's sad. Let us know you are aware of the problems and working on it, that's all we ask.
Mods: I posted this here as opposed to bug reports for visibility. This discussion is about bugs but it's more about asking for a level of communication like we used to get (see stormfall release issues).

While I can't say for certain, pretty sure things get a bit hectic around this time of year. If things are being hung up by Microsoft... its realistically out of Cryptic's hands. And with today being an American holiday, that also throws a wrench into things.
I'll go ahead and let Kael know about this in case he can get some more info regarding this.
