account bank changes

I think there needs to be a mechanism in the account bank to allow you transfer your dilithium (both raw and refined) and reputation marks between the characters in your account like you can do with energy credits

often enough I got characters with excess reputation marks and dilithium than others

it would be easier if I could transfer marks to other characters that need them for the reputation challenges and it would save time with the constant grinding for reputation marks in the Task force missions

Reputation marks must be farmed individually on every toon, they're not transferable. The only exception being the occasional box you get that you can crack open for some extra marks from something. Dilithium ore is not transferable either and must be farmed on the toon you want to refine it with.

With dilithium you can refine 8k dilithium per toon per day. If you then want to move that refined dilithium to a specific toon, you can do so with the dilithium exchange. Make an offer to buy zen for 25 dilithium per zen, which will move the dilithium to the exchange. Swap to the toon you want to have the dilithium and cancel said offer. this will allow you to pull that dilithium to the desired toon.

I am quite sure OP is aware of that, since they made a suggestion. (flame/troll comment removed) - darkbladejk

Marks would not make sense to be transferable anyway, it is a measure of the cred each particular captain has built up with each reputation organization. There is even a system in place for the kind of influence that brings to smooth things over for their protégées, in the form of the advancement discounts and (at Tier 6) the gear discounts the other captains on the same account get.

I'm aware of that now. I misread the post due to them using the Q&A formatting.

These resources are not meant to be transferred from one character to another, though. That's why there is no direct mechanism to do so. Even Dilithium isn't meant to be directly transferred from one toon to another on an account. The Dilithium Exchange method is a workaround. Each toon is meant to "earn its own way" in such things. Sponsorship helps mitigate the cost on leveling Reps, and if you really want to skip that grind, you can always do the "buy out" option. Also, excess Reputation Marks can be converted to Dilithium, so they're not entirely useless on your toon. Transferring these resources between characters could be too easily abused, especially in light of Recruitment Rewards.

I still think it would save time with the constant grinding you have to do for these reputations have to do fulfill

one of biggest waste of time in any game is the grinding you have to do for xp and money, you have to spend hours and days to do it

    any gamer knows that

personally I think that needs to be reduced

The way to spread your resources more evenly is to play your other characters as much as any main character you have, so they generate enough for themselves. There are other ways that can help though....saving endeavour boxes and opening them on characters who need any dilithium ore they might give, same with any rep mark boxes or 1/4 specialisation points you receive from them. Also using rep mark and experience bonus pools to give you an extra 20% of both. When you complete any event early and have claimed the reward, play any extra days left for bonus dilithium ore on the character who needs it. Any event reward that involves character bound dilithium or specialisation points make sure to claim it on the appropriate character. During the Summer event hatch bird eggs on all your characters daily to turn them into rep marks of your choice. The account-wide rewards from recruitment events already helps give all characters extra rep marks and dilithium too.

Yes, it all takes a while but that's how a game like this works. Getting the goodies for free takes time and effort.

Except, you don't have to grind anymore. If you have a Temporal, Delta (all flavours) and JH recruit, and complete all the objectives, you only need to level a toon to 60, which takes all of 12 hours, and you'll be able to reclaim enough marks to take each Rep to max without having to do even 1 TFO.

How do you mean? For delta and temporal recruits (assuming full completion of all mark-choice recruit objectives for all recruit types), they will get enough mark boxes from the other recruit reclaims, yes. But non-recruits will not (trust me, I've done the math and tested it). They'll get enough to level 10 or 11 reps to 5, which then provides enough free marks to level those same reps 2/3rds the way to level 6. But that's as far as your free marks will take you. But that doesn't include the marks you'll get by leveling (via patrols, because nothing is faster).

It depends on how you level up to twenty, if you have a lot of alts and alternate them enough to have taken them through a lot of event stuff on the way there then you just might have enough to get reasonably close to what leemwatson said, enough that it would not feel like flat-out grinding anyway, though a certain amount is inevitable.

And speaking of reps, I would actually welcome a TOS rep, or at least adding a pair (the typical weapon/console and system sets pattern) of TOS themed weapons and systems to the temporal rep since the game lacks any TOS sets at all.

I know how to play the game

I'm trying to make a point, I don't need this advice on to play

Oh ok. Well, you've made your point, and your point has been refuted. And since you don't seem interested in anyone's advice or input, we can close this discussion. /Thread
