There's no point ranting on the forum, this can only lead to a thread being closed, your request for support being ignored, or the Mods banning you. If you need in game support keep your posts and threads civil. There is an 8 page thread on here on how to conduct yourself when using the forum,
Respectfully, mod up. Ill be happy to read that when I am not at work, but I didn't swear or anything. It is a free up on an overlooked post as far as I am concerned. The content is valid and thus contributing. The issue is clearly known amongst the community and long term. Diction aside, the implication of the message is entirely reasonable...
I know people don't want to hear this but, sometimes there is nothing they can do about it because what's happening is occurring between your console/rig and their servers, or is sometimes on your end. If someone is playing on a $300 walmart PC and trying to run STO on maxed out settings, you're going to have a bad day. With consoles you don't really have to worry as much, but you still need to be aware. The internet is also still largely wired and it's not a straight shot to their servers from your rig or console. When you move the control stick to move your character forward, a signal is sent from your console through a series of data centers to their server, like a digital snail mail system. The server then sends a signal back showing the character as moving. If there are 12 jumps between your console/rig and their server, that's 12 points of possible interaction that could have something wrong, or something between one of those 12 jumps and their server. If something is going on with their servers, Cryptic can address it. If something is going on with your console, that can be addressed. If it's something going on along the route your console is taking to get to the server, it's out of Cryptic's hands. yeah it sucks, but that's the reality of it. For the record, they don't like this anymore than you do.

@darkbladejk so does that make the end user responsible for using the ip from a 12th hop(cryptic titled) connection to lookup the noc/tech contact via ARIN(which would be cryptic) to call them and tell them there is a problem ourselves? I have considered that, but it seems extreme when there is already an established support contact via arc....
We are three events through the bad lag too.. i play on two consoles and missed 2/3 on one and 3/3 on the other because lag makes me angry, and why be angry about something that is supposed to be fun when you can do something else sad but true. Lag is still there i checked this weekend and was on for a total of 60 seconds maybe.
@darkbladejk These are all very valid points, however when I run a Trace route to the Cryptic servers it takes me to an endpoint in Dallas Texas. Which is about a 3 hour drive from me.
It is 13 hops to get to the Akamai location where I access the cryptic server. This is important because When i do a Trace route on Rockstar's GTA V server I also end up at Akamai servers in Dallas after 9 hops and I have NEVER had rubberbanding or lag there. I know GTA V is P2P but you do still have to access their servers and when you connect P2P you might get someone with 30+ hops to get to them.
Can we all just agree that this problem is with Cryptic itself and not the end user? Per https://support.arcgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017784333 All Cryptic games (Star Trek, Neverwinter, Champions Online) run through the same network to their individual servers. Doesn't this create a bottleneck in traffic? I'm not a network engineer but wouldn't separating them cause less traffic that patchserver.crypticstudios.com has to deal with?
Guys I've tried to be patient with this, but as I explained above, sometimes stuff happens between them and you that neither side can control. Cryptic has no control over who their ISP uses for security and has to make complaints to them. If something happens between you and them there is nothing they can do.
Now with that said I am closing this thread because it's been nothing but attacking Cryptic which helps no one. /closed
