"Starting on July 21st, 2022 on PC (and appearing on Console at a later date), players will have the option of purchasing the Federation Responder Bundle which includes three new Federation starships and additional promotional items."
This experimental system explores what a torpedo might look like with a larger size and fewer internal concessions to safety, accomplishing the latter goal by housing the entire system outside the primary hull of the ship in a dedicated, attritable external structure. The result is the Massive Quantum Warhead, too different from torpedoes for true interoperability, but close enough to benefit from some crosstraining. The weapon itself has a significantly larger detonation compared to traditional torpedo, dealing its Kinetic Damage to both the primary target and other Foes behind it in a 60 degree arc. Hitting three or more Foes with the same blast provides improved Kinetic Weapon Damage for a duration. The weapon system has two charges, and while they can be fired in rapid succession, it takes 60 seconds to recover a charge.
This console also provides a passive bonus to Kinetic Damage, Flight Speed, and Hull Penetration.
This on the other hand looks interesting and not as game-breakingly power creepy. I'll have to know how fast it flies though before I might buy it for my torpedo characters. A weapon that will only hit already destroyed targets isn't very useful, so that's important to know...
Starship Trait - Advanced Precision Guided Munitions
Activating a Weapon Firing Mode will enhance the next Torpedo Weapon fired within 10 seconds, causing a sympathetic detonation within the hull of the targeted Foe and dealing significant additional Kinetic Damage. If the weapon strikes a shield facing with under 15% strength, the extra damage is doubled. This ability has a 10 second recharge time.
Any Firing Mode that modifies the way your weapons behave will trigger this ability. It may only be triggered once every 10 seconds.
...Or maybe I'll get this ship anyway, regardless of how effective the console is.
Like i said in said topic, i am trying to find a positive angle for the ships/bundle but i am drawing a blank.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Yay we get ships we already have yet another version of the same ship. How many Mirandas do we have now? 9000 zen for the bundle is a joke right? Not happening.
C-Store Inc. is still looking for active members on the fed side. If you don't have a fleet feel free to contact me in game @stegi.
So one of those ships has a trait that grants 100% crit chance for 10 seconds. And it can be used every 40 seconds.
Do we really need stuff like this?
Don't forget it also makes you invincible for those 10s.
Cryptic think players enjoy god mode ? (Their words) I can't think of a worse way to ruin a game. Like this game isn't already easy. Strip away all the mindless clicking and collecting of currencies how much game is there really ? Not sure we needed a trait that made people non targetable, and negated ALL their power creeped +CrtH gear 20% of the time.
I guess Cryptic has run out of ideas on ways to sell ships... I mean they are also trying to make people care about shield healing, and giving people drones to detect Cloaked ships ???? If they play this game they aren't paying any attention while doing it. lol

I honestly didn't even look at that lol. Sad... How many ship's vs. playable content did we get so far this year?

Well we finally got a T6 Olympic, which is a canon ship. And honestly at this point the Miranda is probably the ultimate Jeep of the galaxy. A variant for every occasion. lol
I'll probably get it, but not yet. I'm STILL saving up for another thing.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I finally found one good thing to mention: The admiralty cards are useful.
These ships are an odd mix. A 5/3raider with heavy engineering, few tactical consoles and a flurry of universal boff seating essentially making it a master of none.
A command escort with the commander tactical and command combined forcing the player to sacrifice necessary attack patterns to gain access to the torpedo focused command. Not to mention an exotic type console which depends on weapon training for its damage. And it's kinetic damage on top of that.
Finally a hospital ship which can separate from the sphere saucer. At least have some c.. and allow us to fire such a disco ball at enemy ships.
With such awkward layouts ships en PVP traits, does the marketing team think that including some Terran skins warrants the exorbitant cost of this pack?
Unless some significant changes are made to these ship/cost of said bundle it is not even worth consideration for me.

The only ship I'm interested in is the Bozeman, but I would want the Terran skin so that means I need the bundle. At $90 on sale for 3 ships (the free T6 coupon is useless for me) it just isn't a good enough value to me, especially when the ships themselves aren't fleet quality on their own. I'll wait and see what kind of sale they do in December.
Yay we get ships we already have yet another version of the same ship. How many Mirandas do we have now? 9000 zen for the bundle is a joke right? Not happening.
9000 Zen isn't that bad a deal, imo. Remember, you basically get four ships for that, not three as there's also a ship token included.
Combined with all the other extra stuff it's not that bad.
Not that I'm going to buy it, but that's a different story.

I don't even understand why we still get new fleet ships.
We have T5s, T5Us, T5UX, T6, T6 fleet, T6X, T6fleetX...
I can understand that they don't want to cut away some tiers entirely (thinking of that task alone must be a nightmare for a Dev, considering the potentially far-reaching consequences if something goes wrong), but they should at least stop adding new designs to some of those tiers. Just release T6 ships that are at the fleet level from now on. Makes things a lot easier and less confusing with the X-upgrade tokens too.

I didn't even read that, I guess I scanned the article too quickly - I hardly bother reading them anymore as I have way too many ships already and things like console stats don't really matter anymore with all the universal stuff we have nowadays.
But yes, this is getting silly.
To be fair, I wouldn't be surprised if a new nerf round was coming. This isn't the only OP trait that has been released recently - I suspect they want to release some good ones and make people pour money on them before undoing all this power creep.

9k on sale. I think I saw it was 12k off sale. Which honestly is still a good deal because that is the price of 4 T6s, and guess what? You are getting 4 T6s, just one is of your choice.

No it isn't. 12k before sales back in the day you got lets say the Dreadnought Bundle 9 ships 333 for each faction a pack. They started to put all the fluff with bundles and increased the prices so yeah its not a good deal for me because I have no use for that junk. Though I do have a few free T6 tokens flying around which means the ships I want out of it I get for "free" anyway. But yeah if the bundle was around 6k without the fluff I would have bought it but the way it is right now its a big no. They are all repeat ships anyway while there is no T6 Olympic the other ships are already there. Don't get me started on the 4 different T6 Miranda Versions before this one...
C-Store Inc. is still looking for active members on the fed side. If you don't have a fleet feel free to contact me in game @stegi.
It's not a must-buy for me, but the Bozeman and Nobel both look interesting and I don't think I own any Mirandas yet (...need to look through the armada, so many ships)
9,000 is OK for 3 + 1 ships plus the T6-X and fleet tokens, plus the mirror skins. Not a super value, but less annoying than those legendary ships with the useless "jump to level 65" token that you can't put on the exchange for someone that actually wants it for a new alt.
inflation sure sucks... just look at the cost of a 3 ship T6 bundle to this...
The old 6,000 3-ship bundles didn't include T6-X tokens or the 100% off T6 choice token (ship #4). I don't remember getting fleet modules with the older bundles either but I think recent ones might have included some.
I don't really see the problem though. All ships can be bought seperately in this case. From the announcement:
Each of the three starships will also be available individually at the standard T6 starship price of 3,000 Zen
So I honestly don't understand why people are complaining about the price of a bundle that they don't need to buy while they will still be able to use any of the ships they might want by just buying them separately.
With Legendary ships I can see the problem as those aren't sold separately. The ships just announced, however, can be obtained without buying the full pack.

I've been waiting for a T6 version of the Olympic for a long time. I'll be getting the Nobel the first day (or second day if I can't log in) it's available on PlayStation. I actually got giddy when I heard the news. ^_^
The "deal" of a ship bundle is only saving you money if you were already going to buy and use everything in the bundle. If you weren't, then what you're actually doing is paying more in order to get the illusion of a discount.
Also feel that this comment on Reddit is painfully accurate:
According to the STO sages of YouTube, there are only two maps in the game that matter. ;-P

It's not. The second picture in the blog is just showing the Terran skins you get as an add-on when you buy the bundle.
https://playstartrekonline.com/en/news/article/11521213
If you buy the ship separately you only get the Federation skin.
