Jem'Hadar Attack Ship Hangar Pet not unlocking properly

When trying to purchase "Jem'Hadar Attack Ship" for hangar slot while owning (and having in active roster) the Vanguard Support Carrier, the Vanguard Carrier and the Legendary Vanguard Pilot Attack Ship, ingame tooltip says "You must own both a Jem'Hadar starship with two hangar bays, and a version of the Jem'Hadar Attack Ship of Tier 5 or higher".
Same message for all rarities of this hangar pet.

A friend owning the Tier 5 Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier and the Legendary Vanguard Pilot Attack ship has the same issue.

I should add the Vanguard Gunboats are also affected per this Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/sto/comments/ufof0m/where_can_i_get_the_jemhadar_vanguard_gunboats/

It also seems I am unable to equip Elite Vanguard Gunboats (purchased a while ago) on my Vanguard Carrier, even though the tooltip says "Jem'Hadar Carriers or Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Cruisers".

I have the same issue on a toon were I was able to claim the Jem'Hadar attack ship for by hangar, but now I can not.

This is a known issue and is being investigated internally.

I have this problem too. It's nice to hear it's a known bug. It would be nicer if I read this in the patch notes too. :-(

I am having the same issue as well. What really grinds my gears is that I PAID REAL MONEY for these and can not get them.

There are a number of other pets this is effecting just in case you are not aware. For example Sphere Builder Heavy Fighters and Sphere Builder Arehbes Frigates are unlocked by the same ship which I own. The fighters are unlocked while the frigates are locked.

so I've paid money for these ships for a polaron build I cant buy the attack ships at all its June 15th 2022 this post was from April and I've seen other posts going back a few years about this problem is there any chance we may get an eta on a fix or if you've found out what the problem is yet

In my inventory I only have rare versions of each type of frigate hanger pet that I purchased years ago but I can equip them on each type of Jem-Hadar carrier.

Its a lot more then just the Jem'Hadar ships. In the case of the Sphere Builder Arehbes Frigate there are two Sphere Builder pets unlocked by the same ship. I have 1 Sphere Builder pet unlocked and the other Sphere Builder pet locked which should be impossible with them both linked to the same ship.

Some of these pets with bugs I have purchased before and still have them. I cannot remember the full list, just wanted to make it clear the bug effect multiple pets.

While on the subject of pets the pet personal space trait "Friends in Unusual Places" is broken. Once equipped it does nothing. Also the text on this trait is different to what is written in the blog about the trait.

Issue: Two part bug. Personal Space Trait "Friends in Unusual Places" is broken it does nothing. Bug 1 is the trait text is completely different to the trait blog text. So we are not sure how it is meant to function. Bug 2 is the trait appears to do nothing. It doesnt do what the text on the trait says and it doesnt do what the text in the blog says. I tried looking at Hangar Pet cooldowns no change, I tried to slot in Distress Call Abilities and no change in global cooldown.

Note: Cross posting as both threads related and wasn't sure which was the best one to post in, so posting in both.

So I have bought the T6 vanguard carrier as a jem'hadar captain and have this issue still even after the patch that said it would be fixed. What exactly is this 'attack ship' that is said you need to unlock these advanced/elite pets? Because I start with one, can't get it from phoenix prices. Hopefully you don't mean that I should buy the legendary one? Because it didn't say anywhere in zen store info that I would need to own some other (super expensive) ship to unlock the better pets.

Sorry I can only provide half of that. Here is my screenshot of a Jem’Hadar 2 Bay carrier. With 1 Elite Attack ship unlocked and fitted before the vendor bug hit and the vendor open with the pet locked out. As far as I recall I have never owned any of the other versions of the attack ship only the Jem'Hadar Attack Ship (T5) which was the original way to unlock the pet. In the past the T5 was very rare and very expensive and the only reason I brought it was to unlock the Attack Pets. Having unlocked the pets I never had a reason to buy the newer versions of the Attack ship which came out years later.

The Sphere Builder Arehbes Frigate unlock is now working.

It's worth pointing out that the Jem'Hadar Attack Ship (T5) is not the Jem'Hadar Escort (T5-U) that is commonly used by Jem'Hadar at their start of the game.

They look the same, but the Attack Ship should unlock the pets whereas the Escort doesn't.

Thanks for that, my mistake. I muddled up the T5-U Attack Ship with the T5-U Escort. In this case I can provide the 2nd screenshot.

So how does jem'hadar get this 'attack ship' ? Wiki says it is bought from phoenix store but I can't see it in there. Same goes for ship vendor, they just sell the same ship my jem started with. Tbh if I buy a carrier that costs 30 euros RL money that is supposed to unlock certain pets I find it wierd that you need to own some other ship too. It doesn't even mention it anywhere in the product page.

They removed the T5 version of it from the Phoenix Box when they recently removed all the T5's. (They want you to buy keys so you can get the T6 version from the Lockboxes...)

Its not just the Attack Ship. I didn't noticed at first as while the Attack ship is greyed out the Jem'Hadar Gunboats are completely missing from all 3 stores/vendors.

They have been also broken for a while now. They were supposed to patch this few weeks back but it didn't work. At least didn't work for me because the patch notes say that you would require to own also an 'attack ship' that I believe would only become in lockbox or legendary variant. Complete BS to add stuff like that, vanguard carrier is supposed to unlock these pets, it shouldn't be required to own other ships too.

Figured out the issue. The t5 ships were not counting. It is on the list to get fixed. Thanks for the reports.
