Random Spawns in Deep Space Encounters/ Nimbus

Since the release of Stormfall, I've encountered random ships spawning at multiple points when playing Intelligence Disasters. For instance, when defeating the last ship in a wave, random Romulan ship types spawn all around the map, "bouncing" in and out of play until a single type spawns.

I've noticed something similar playing Creatures of the Desert on Nimbus, when I go to a beacon, some beasts spawn then phase out, then more spawn in which may be battled.

    I found the same thing happening with the other "deep space encounters" like with the Borg, Klingons, etc. For me, it seems like there will be a spawn that will appear for a second before fading and a different random variant spawns sometimes fading and spawning another variant for a third time. I'm also seeing this occur with the Borg spawns on Defera.

    I've just seen it in the Dyson Sphere Battlezone in the Undine area during the Voth invasion.
