Trait bug after Reflections Of Empire maintenance update

Finally logged in after the issues with maintenance today to find lots of blank spaces in my long-standing trait setups.

On trying to reset them I noticed that when you select any Personal Space Trait in the very first slot it duplicates and puts the same trait in the first slot of Active Ground Reputation too. And vice-versa....if you select any new trait in the very first slot of Active Ground Reputation, it duplicates again and puts it in the first slot of Personal Space Traits too. Tried on a couple of my other characters and the same thing happens.

While I haven't tried every permutation, I've not seen a problem with the other slots apart from the blank spaces that need filling again after the update.

Hopefully this isn't just me! Thankfully playing Counterpoint for the event progress went smoothly.

    at least i know im not the only one this TRIBBLE happened to.

    it reset all my personal space traits with traits other than what i had there, and also removed all my active traits and all my unlocked traits you get from both the captain upgrades and the ones you buy from the research lab holding.

    it does the same thing when you play certain mission that involve you using a ship that is not you readied ship.
    pretty sad how a 12 year old game still does stuff like this in the missions that are almost that old.

    To pin this bug down that we are experiencing today, we now have 11 trait slots under "Personal Space Traits" but that very first slot is a duplicate of the first "Active Ground Reputation" trait slot.

    Go somewhere else after "fixing" it as best you can and it deletes three others. Kinda don't want to play whack a mole cheers.

    Happening to me too. I’ve been able to work around it - once you have your traits set up just the way you want them, immediately save your ships’ loadout to that configuration. That way, if it ever goes funny again, you can re-load the saved loadout and the traits will return to the last saved state. Yeah, this is a bad one, but at least it’s not completely irretrievable.

    I too experienced the issue, when I signed in with my character Justice, and went through the exercise of remapping traits after the latest release the personal space trait in the upper left corner was empty and needed to be remapped. When selected the only options presented were for Active ground reputation traits instead of Personal Space Traits. On checking other spaces in the Personal Space Traits appear to map correctly. I have not seen this issue with any of my other characters at this point but have not logged in yet with all of the 10 character, I have already successfully remapped a few other characters prior to encountering this issue. Attached is a screen shot showing that Defiance(2) from my active ground reputation is mapped both to there and the personal space traits upper left space.IMG_5507 Large.jpegexdjb1abx1ab.png

    Yay I can join the same group, I'm having the same issue as the others in this thread, it's so nice not to be all alone. But a fix would be nice.

    Can confirm, same problem on xbox. Had to redo space and ground traits, ground abilities, got duplicate slot, etc... Hope support acknowledges/is working on this.

    Haven't been able to play the game since the update last Tuesday, because you end up spending more time fixing stuff after you transfer from instance to instance or map to map. Just finally gave up trying. I saw they dropped a patch fix for this on PC, but from what I'm reading even that didn't work to fix the issue over there. An update on a permanent fix would be welcome, so we can know when it's safe to get back on and play the game again.

    Things have gotten worse with this. My original workaround of saving the ship’s loadout with all the traits set no longer works. :(
