The Dilithium Ore given as part of the mission rewards associated with reaching Tier 5 in any Reputation have been replaced with Reputation Dilithium Vouchers. This reward has always been intended to be used to purchase Reputation Equipment, which may still be done using these Vouchers, which also do not require Refinement before use.
This change will take effect tomorrow on PC, and next Tuesday on Console.
So what happens when I reach Tier 5 of a Reputation now?
You will receive the same amount of dilithium as you had received in the past, but now in the form of Reputation Dilithium Vouchers. These vouchers can be spent to purchase Reputation Equipment.
Can I use these Reputation Dilithium Vouchers on any Reputation?
Yes. Vouchers unlocked from reaching Tier 5 on any Reputation can be used to purchase Reputation Equipment from any Reputation.
Why is this change being made?
As mentioned above, this Dilithium was always meant to be used to obtain Reputation Equipment. At the time, the designers believed players would use it exclusively for that, which may have been shortsighted. Switching this may have an effect on the Dilithium Economy. It's one of the many changes we're hoping to enact over the coming months.
Can you tell us about any of the other changes?
Not at this time. The other changes are either still in the testing phase or the design phase, and not yet ready for public consumption.

Nearly all of them are completely obsolete.
May I also suggest a price slash on phoenix boxes too?
Actually, you have it wrong. You'll now get an even better price trading Dil to Zen as Dil becomes a more precious resource.
Not the other way around it doesn't. You now get less for your Zen. It's the reason I keep my 'change' instead of dumping it on the exchange, you need hundreds of thousands of dil to fully upgrade a ship, unless they start giving [barely stifled chuckle] away more upgrades.
TRIBBLE the newbies basically.
It grinds my gears how much money I have to spend on this game for traits and consoles every time I start a new character.
so now we are going to have 400K+ rep dilithium that will never be used, a great a reason to never do the reputation now.
Contraband will go up in price though.
My point, exactly. There's now no reason to do reps on any toon you don't plan on using that rep set on.
> They should have left it as is. If you need rep dil, make it so you can trade in marks for it at X amount of rep dil per rep mark. Some of those rep items are pretty expensive. Have the option for regular dil or rep dil at trade in.
You can already do that with refined dil. They simply want to limit the supply of dil instead of addressing the actual problem with the dil-zen exchange: dil has very low value on PC because there is not much for established players to spend it on
If you're trying to 'fix' the exchange, it's a lost cause, something should have been done about that a long time ago. This is just a way to channel money into Zen for overpriced micros.
On PC.
Essentially, they are trying "fix" something that is not broken yet on Console only because it is broken on PC.
Thanks for nothing.
