Is jupiter even time gated? seems to me that if you promptly close the rifts down it goes MUCH faster. I don't think it's a time gate as much as you have to close X amount of gates before they get locked down
There is a timer that isn't shown. I was in a group on the first or second day of the event (we just got our first access to Iuppiter Iratus on PlayStation less than two weeks ago), that didn't close any rifts, and just kept shooting things instead. When I noticed that I was the only one who was closing rifts, I figured I had time to kill, and decided I'd experiment. I knew there was a "15/15" on the debriefing dialog, so I stopped closing rifts to see what would happen. Jupiter Base was guarded enough so that the breaching was kept on the lowest part of the meter, so there wasn't a chance of failure there.
After what felt like many minutes, the closing rifts objective turned red, and the final phase with Mirror Tilly started. So you basically lose time out of your life, and some marks, for not closing 15 rifts in a timely manner.

So, I guess those rifts are going to close themselves after all!

Which is odd, because it's definitely an objective that could easily be relayed via the TFO objective list -- Close x / 15 portals. Unlike the primary objectives in Remain Klingon, which are quite wordy to describe.
Oh yea I agree. It’s a missed opportunity for sure. I have AFKed the whole event last time it was on (in private) and only found out about the rift limit this time around. Too bad.
If the description was any better I’d even go so far as to say that this map is the best event map we got in years.

Synth Wave. Love the idea of scrambling to save as many lives as possible while fighting off the bad guys, then covering everyone's evacuation. Makes me feel like a real heroine! ^_^
