my personal opinion is if you would like more lifetime members cut the cost in half that will get there attention plus it will show that you care about those people that sign up for it at 1/2 price but once again its just my opinion
i've had the STO COLLECTORS EDITION since 2009 thats how long i've been playing it and have never seen it at 1/2 price in all these years ?im just saying they should put it at that price it would show to everyone that plays that they help keep it going especially after all these years .
LTS is not expensive, and as it was said, it goes on sale 1/2 price. Last time was maybe a couple of weeks ago, check the news.
And how exactly lowering it will help the game? It won't affect anything, the main source of income is the store. If i'ts too expensive to you then just say it as it is, why all this TRIBBLE about "everyone".

It goes on sale at half price and/or 33% off around 5-6 times a year. I bought both my PC and XB LTS whilst they were discounted. As a side note....you can get LTS for nothing if you play the Dil Market, but it doesn't include the Dil stipend which is why it's around $100 cheaper than PC during normal times.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
There was literally a 50% off sale that just ended. That said, 12 years into a game's life, yeah, it is impossible to justify buying it at full price because there is no chance at all of the game lasting another 12 years. No MMO has lasted that long (and even WoW is finally dying at the 18 year mark, close but not quite two dozen years.) The Star Trek name is the only reason it lasted this long. For half off, though, yeah, Lifetime Sub is still worth it I think.
Have a look at what it gives you, then look at any additions over the years (not many). Is that worth it to you?
From my perspective I likely won't be playing in a year, the only reason I started back on console is because the game is largely a hands off, no need to pay attention experience with a large dollop of clock watching. This works currently as I can't focus on videogames like I used to.
Very little in the LT I can't buy piecemeal over time anyway. I certainly don't care about Talaxians (p'tooie).
Maybe if I get to 20 characters and dil refining becomes a chore......
I've had it since the game launched, and imo it was worth the price back then since it wasn't F2P. Once they went F2P though it lost a LOT of value imo, price is definitely too high for what you get now.

Everquest is now 23 years running and counting (and still getting expansions too)

it relies on the franchise ONLY. the game play is NOT the selling point here at all. I bought a ship, then i bought some ZEN twice. on the second Zen purchase I used Zen for a buy out option and did NOT recieve the 700 points i only recieved 406 for some reason. so my zen is gone and i have nothing to show for it. Its been a month of run around and it still has not been fixed. Star Trek has been ruined.
